Mycorrhizae are symbiotic associations between soil borne fungi and the root system of higher plants having a beneficial role on plant growth. The fungus receives carbon from plant, while the plant increased nutrient uptake mediated via the fungus. In agroforestry systems, most of the mycorrhizae belong to ectomycorrhizal (ECM) group being the mechanisms controlling its development poorly defined. During arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) establishment, some evidences suggest that a temporal and spatial activation of different defence mechanisms by plants are activated. Ectomicorrizas, humedad y depósito de nitrógeno en pinos de invernadero y en bosques aledaños a la Ciudad de México Colegio de Postgraduados

El trabajo consistió en dos fases, la primera fue en invernadero y la segunda en campo. En invernadero se evaluó la influencia de dos regímenes de humedad del suelo [80 a 100 y 40 a 60 % de la capacidad máxima de retención de agua del sustrato (CMRAS)] y la inoculación con tres hongos ectomicorrízicos comestibles, Hebeloma spp., Laccaria spp. y Clavulina aff. cinerea, así como sus interacciones, en el desarrollo de dos especies de pinos: Pinus patula Schl. et Cham y Pinus hartwegii Lindl. En las plantas de Pinus patula inoculadas con Hebeloma spp., el régimen de humedad de 80 a 100 % de la CMRAS produjo mayor peso seco total (46 %) y altura (25 %) en comparación con el régimen de humedad de 40 a 60 % de la CMRAS. Effect of the geographical origin, culture media, and pH on the growth dynamic of the edible ectomycohrrizal mushroom Suillus luteus Ciencia e Investigación Agraria

Suillus luteus is the most important wild edible ectomycorrhizal mushroom harvested and exported in Chile. This introduced species forms mycorrhizal symbiosis with Pinus radiata, the most important exotic forest tree. To obtain optimized protocols for the controlled infection of P. radiata trees with this species, it is important to determine the appropriate culture conditions. Wild edible mushrooms are a natural resource with a high nutritional and economic value. Several studies have demonstrated that the commercially mushroom harvesting could be an important additional source of income in both developing and developed countries. The species most appreciate in the entire world are ectomycorrhizal (EM) and are usually the most valued.
