Performance of ginger grass (Lippia alba) for traits related to the production of essential oil Scientia Agricola
Yamamoto,Paula Yuri; Colombo,Carlos Augusto; Azevedo Filho,Joaquim Adelino; Lourenção,André Luiz; Marques,Márcia Ortiz Mayo; Morais,Guilherme Domingues da Silva; Chiorato,Alisson Fernando; Martins,Antônio Lúcio Mello; Siqueira,Walter José.
Lippia alba (Verbenaceae) is a shrub whose essential oil has important biological, pharmacological, and aromatizing properties. To reach the sustained cultivation of new species with economic potential, the present study aimed to evaluate L. alba performance for fresh leaf matter (FM), leaf dry matter (DM), virus symptoms (VS - Cucumber mosaic virus, CMV), oil yield (OY), and oil chemical composition (OC), and to evaluate DM stability and adaptability. Ten genotypes of four chemical groups (chemotypes) were evaluated in six experiments designed as randomized blocks with two plants per plot, over the whole State of São Paulo, Brazil. A 2.0 x 0.4 x 1.6 m spacing was used in Monte Alegre do Sul and Pindorama, while a 1.0 x 0.4 x 0.6 m spacing was used in...

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the interaction between genotypes and environments, evaluate adaptability and stability, and study the relationship between genetic structure and homeostasis. In addition to landrace, the study evaluated recommended genotypes or genotypes in experimental recommendation stages (varieties and hybrids) in three environments in northern and northwestern Rio de Janeiro State. Eight traits were measured, including grain yield and popping expansion. The individual analysis of variance revealed significant differences for all traits at 1% probability. In the combined analysis of variance, the genotype by environment interaction was significant at 1% probability for all traits except ear height. The interaction was simple...

Stability analysis of forage production in Bromus catharticus (prairie grass) using three methodologies Ciencia e Investigación Agraria
Abbott,Liliana; Filippini,Susana; Delfino,Hugo; Pistorale,Susana.
Thirteen genotypes of Bromus catharticus (prairie grass) were evaluated for forage production over three years using completely randomized trials with six replicates. The genotype x environment interaction was statistically significant and indicates that the behavior of genotypes differs over time. Once this interaction was detected, we used three methodologies to assess the stability of genotypes: Wricke's ecovalence, the Lin and Binns index, and the Eberhart and Russell model. The methods of Lin and Binns and Eberhart and Russell indicate that genotypes 11, 9, 3 and 4 are stable. They also rule out possible selection of genotypes 2, 10, 1 and 12 for lack of stability or poor adaptation. The correlation among these indices was statistically significant...

Stability of F7:8 snap bean progenies in the Northern and Northwestern regions of Rio de Janeiro State Horticultura Brasileira
Vilela,FO; Amaral Júnior,AT; Gonçalves,LSA; Barbé,TC; Gravina,GA.
The objective of this experiment was to assess the genotypes by environment interaction for eight morphoagronomic traits in thirty F7:8 snap bean superior lines and evaluate the pod yield stability. The experiments were carried out in the cities of Bom Jesus do Itabapoana, Campos dos Goytacazes and Itaocara, located in the Northern and Northwestern regions of Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. Experiments were designed in randomized blocks with two replications, using the traditional method (Yates & Cochran, 1938) and the methods proposed by Plaisted & Peterson (1959), Wricke (1965), Kang & Phan (1991) and Lin & Binns (1988), as well. Only the average fiber content in pods revealed no significant genotype x environment...
