Essai d'une technique de tri sur post-larves de crevettes en sortie de nurserie et effets sur un grossissement intensif (Penaeus vannamei) ArchiMer

La technique de tri pratiquée avec une maille carrée de 2 mm est bonne et performante par son efficacité et son rendement. Elle est facilement mise en oeuvre sans main-d'oeuvre supplémentaire. Le grossissement des animaux triés montre un effet très positif pour les grandes post- larves avec une réduction de la dispersion et un gain en indice de conversion. Pour les petites post-larves c'est l'inverse avec une augmentation de dispersion et de mortalité dû à une forte présence de queues de lôt.

Schemes optimisation for genetic improvement for growth of Penaeus stylirostris requires the development of technologies for grading shrimps easily. This work shows that bar and mesh graders are very suitable for early selection at post-larval stages, as long as early growth is heritable. Experimental data sets lead to the equations which give the grading weight as a function of the dimensions of the graders. Mesh graders which allow an earlier selection than bar graders (PL19 instead of PL25) open a new way to implement experimental selection into production hatcheries.

The continuous obtention of current (speed and direction) turbidity and phytoplanktonic fluorescence was achieved for 9 successive days during the month of May 1988. Each two hours, during the day, the faeces and pseudofaeces productions of 7 oysters have been sampled individualy. The filtration rate were calculated in continuous. It appeared that the concentration in particular matter and also the planktonic fluorescence fluctuated in direct relation with the water depth, the origin of the water masses and the speed of the wind. During the tidal cycle the mean filtration rate was constant which induced a food consumption largely variable.
