Insect survey using light traps and the field survey for collecting insect pests and natural enemies were conducted at Surin Rice Research Center during February 2014 to January 2015. The main objective of this study was to investigate the correlations between environmental factors and numbers of insect pests and natural enemies. The results revealed that rainfall, temperature and relative humidity were slightly correlated with numbers of insect pests and natural enemies. Additionally, number of pests was negatively correlated with number of natural enemies. Negative correlations were observed between number of parasitic wasps and numbers of white backed planthoppers, brown planthoppers, green leafhoppers and zigzag leafhopper. Number of orange ladybugs was negatively correlated with numbers of green leafhoppers and zigzag leafhoppers. However, further study is required to validate these preliminary results.
ดำเนินงานสำรวจแมลงศัตรูข้าวและศัตรูธรรมชาติภายในศูนย์วิจัยข้าวสุรินทร์ ระหว่าง เดือนกุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2557 ถึง เดือนมกราคม พ.ศ. 2558 โดยใช้กับดักแสงไฟและสำรวจในสภาพแปลง ซึ่งงานวิจัยนี้มีขึ้นเพื่อศึกษาสหสัมพันธ์ของสภาพแวดล้อม กับแมลงศัตรูข้าวและแมลงศัตรูธรรมชาติ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ปริมาณน้ำฝน อุณหภูมิและความชื้นสัมพัทธ์มีค่าสหสัมพันธ์น้อยกับจำนวนประชากรแมลงศัตรูข้าวและศัตรูธรรมชาติ จากค่า Coefficient of correlation (r) ซึ่งมีค่าเข้าใกล้ 0 เช่นเดียวกับจำนวนประชากรแมลงศัตรูธรรมชาติที่มีค่าสหสัมพันธ์น้อยกับจำนวนแมลงศัตรูข้าว สำหรับผลการสำรวจแมลงศัตรูข้าวและศัตรูธรรมชาติสภาพแปลง พบว่า อุณหภูมิและความชื้นสัมพัทธ์ มีค่าสหสัมพันธ์น้อยกับแมลงศัตรูข้าวและศัตรูธรรมชาติ เมื่อพิจารณาค่าสหสัมพันธ์ระหว่างแมลงศัตรูธรรมชาติและศัตรูข้าวพบว่า แตนเบียนมีค่าสหสัมพันธ์เชิงลบ กับเพลี้ยกระโดดหลังขาว เพลี้ยกระโดดสีน้ำตาล เพลี้ยจักจั่นสีเขียวและเพลี้ยจักจั่นปีกลายหยัก เช่นเดียวกับด้วงเต่ามีค่าสหสัมพันธ์เชิงลบกับเพลี้ยจักจั่นสีเขียวและเพลี้ยจักจั่นปีกลายหยัก อย่างไรก็ตามข้อมูลที่ได้นี้ เป็นเพียงข้อมูลเบื้องต้น ซึ่งจำเป็นต้องมีการศึกษาต่อไป
