This research aims to study the effect of planting dates on the variation of some important agronomic characteristics of photoperiod sensitive cultivars. The experiment was conducted at Nakorn Ratchasima Rice Research Centre during wet season 2011-2013 by using a split plot in RCB design with 3 replicates. Main plots consisted of 5 planting dates; May 5, June 5, July 5, August 5, and September 5. Sub plots consisted of 4 photoperiod sensitive rice cultivars; i.e. KDML105, RD45, RD6, and RD12. Some important agronomic characteristics were recorded. Data sets from each year were analyzed using a single site analysis. Treatment means were compared using a Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that planting dates significantly affected some agronomic characteristics of 4 rice cultivars, i.e. plant height, days to flowering, number of panicles per hill, yield, number of filled grains per panicle, 1,000 grain weight, grain size of brown rice, chalkiness, and storability. Late planting of photoperiod sensitive cultivars caused some variations in agronomic characteristics by reducing plant height, days to flowering, number of panicles per hill, yield, number of filled grains per panicle, and 1,000 grain weight. Late planting also affected size of brown rice, chalkiness, and storability. The variety that gave the average highest yield from 5 planting dates was RD45. The most suitable planting dates for all 4 tested varieties were during June – July.
งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาอิทธิพลของวันปลูกต่อความแปรปรวนของลักษณะประจำพันธุ์ที่สำคัญบางอย่างของข้าวพันธุ์ไวต่อช่วงแสง ทำการทดลองในศูนย์วิจัยข้าวนครราชสีมา วางแผนการทดลองแบบ Split plot in RCB มี 3 ซ้ำ main plot ประกอบด้วย 5 วันปลูก คือ ทุกวันที่ 5 ของเดือนพฤษภาคม มิถุนายน กรกฎาคม สิงหาคม และ กันยายน ของฤดูนาปี 2554-2556 sub plot คือพันธุ์ข้าวจำนวน 4 พันธุ์ ได้แก่ ขาวดอกมะลิ 105 กข45 กข6 และ กข12 บันทึกข้อมูลลักษณะประจำพันธุ์บางลักษณะที่สำคัญ วิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนของแต่ละลักษณะในแต่ละปี และเปรียบเทียบค่าเฉลี่ยระหว่างกรรมวิธีโดยวิธี Duncan’s Multiple Range Test ผลการทดลองพบว่า วันปลูกมีผลทำให้ลักษณะ ความสูง จำนวนวันออกดอก จำนวนรวงต่อกอ ผลผลิต จำนวนเมล็ดดีต่อรวง น้ำหนักข้าวเปลือก 1,000 เมล็ด ขนาดของข้าวกล้อง ปริมาณท้องไข่ และอายุการเก็บรักษา ของข้าวทั้ง 4 พันธุ์ แตกต่างกันทางสถิติ การปลูกข้าวพันธุ์ไวต่อช่วงแสงล่าช้า ทำให้ความสูง จำนวนวันออกดอก จำนวนเมล็ดดีต่อรวง ผลผลิต และน้ำหนักข้าวเปลือก 1,000 เมล็ด ลดลงอย่างมาก รวมทั้งส่งผลต่อขนาดของข้าวกล้อง ปริมาณการเกิดท้องไข่ และอายุการเก็บรักษา พันธุ์ที่ให้ผลผลิตเฉลี่ยจากทั้ง 5 วันปลูกสูงที่สุด คือ กข45 ช่วงเวลาปลูกที่เหมาะสมของข้าวทั้ง 4 พันธุ์ คือ เดือนมิถุนายนถึงกรกฎาคม
