Приведены морфологические признаки пелагических икринок 40 видов рыб, обитающих в районе Канарского течения. Указаны размеры икринок, желтка и жировой капли, а также характер структуры оболочки и желтка. Помещены сведения о районах и сезонах нереста. Описаны икринки наиболее массовых рыб этого района: сардины, сардинеллы, ставриды обыкновенной, морского бекаса, рыбы сабли, макрелещуки, мерланга, морских языков и др. Имеются определительные таблицы и рисунки.
Morphological characters of pelagic eggs are presented for 40 fish species inhabiting the Canary current region in the Central Atlantic. The description is given for food fishes of the above-mentioned region, such as Sardina, Sardinella, horse mackerel, trumpet fish, sable fish, saury, whiting, soles, etc. Each kind of fish eggs is characterized from the viewpoint of egg, vitellus, fat drop diameter sizes, the pattern of the membrane and vitellus structure. The paper is furnished with drawings and tables. The identification keys unite fish eggs into the following groups: eggs with a sculptured membrane (1), eggs without a fat drop (2), large 1.2-5.0 mm eggs with a fat drop (3), tiny eggs with a fat drop (4), eggs with many fat drops (5).
