In this paper, we report the identification and actibacterial activity of marine bacterial strains associated in the marine microalgal cultures Chaetoceros ceratosporum, Chaetoceros muelleri, Thalassiosira sp., Thalassiosira weisflogii, Amphora sp., Navicula sp. and Tetraselmis suecica. The antibacterial activity was determined by the diffusion plate method using Nutrient agar and agar blocks with the cultures to study. As result, 70 marine bacterial strains were isolated and identified, the 25,7 % of the bacterial microbiota was able to produce antibacterial substances. The strains with most antibacterial activity were Bacillus cereus (Thalassiosira sp.), B. cereus (Tetraselmis suecica), and B. megaterium (Chaetoceros ceratosporum) that inhibited four of the pathogens strains assayed. The results suggest that the isolated bacteria could be used as probiotics agents for the biological control of pathogens from marine organisms of interest in mariculture.
