La production conchylicole du lac de Bizerte reste très faible (une moyenne de 120 t /an) comparée à son potentiel qui a été estimé selon les auteurs et la surface exploitée entre 10000 et 20000(t)/an. Un programme de développement d'entreprises conchylicoles de type familiales, PME et autres est à priori largement justifiable dans le lac de Bizerte et la mer ouverte avoisinante (zone de cap Zebib).La production annuelle moyenne de la pêche est de 86,7 t/an avec une productivité totale de 12,4 kg/ha/an. L’aménagement de la pêcherie, l’introduction d’une aquaculture extensive et l’ensemencement régulier du plan d’eau sont des solutions intéressantes pour améliorer les ressources du lac. La collecte naturelle des algues rouges de type gracilaire n’offre pas elle aussi un potentiel exceptionnel qui puisse rentabiliser une industrie lourde d’extraction. L’intervention de l’homme par les cultures est nécessaire pour améliorer sensiblement ce potentiel. Pour toutes ces raisons , l’INSTM a engagé une étude multidisciplinaire sur le lac de Bizerte qui contribuera à une meilleure exploitation et préservation de ce plan d’eau.
The shellfish production of the Bizerte lake remains very weak (120 t/ year average) compared to its potential which was estimated; according to the authors and the area exploited; between 10000 and 20000(t)/year. A development programme of family, SME and others shellfish farming companies is possible in the Lake Bizerte and its neighbouring open sea (zone of cap Zebib).The actual annual average production of fishing is 86,7 t/y with a total productivity of 12,4 kg/ha/y. The fisheries management, the introduction of an extensive aquiculture and the regular sowing of the lagoon are interesting solutions to improve its resources. As for the other alive resources of the Bizerte lake, the gracilaires do not offer an exceptional potential which can make profitable a heavy industry of extraction based only on the natural collection. The intervention of the man by the culture is necessary to improve appreciably this potential. For all these reasons, the INSTM carried out a multidisciplinary study on the Bizerte lake which will contribute to a better exploitation and safeguarding of this lagoon.
يبقى إنتاج القوقعيات ببحيرة بنزرت ضعيفا ويقدر بحوالي 120 طن سنويا بينما تقدر إمكانياتها حسب دراسات الباحثين ما بين 10.000 و 20.000 طن. لذلك فان برنامجا لبعث وحدات جديدة ممكن داخل البحيرة وخارجها (منطقة كاب زبيب( إن معدل إنتاج الصيد بالبحيرة يناهز 86,7 طن سنويا وهو ما يقابل إنتاجية تقدر ب 12,4/كغ/هآ/سنة. لذلك فان تهيئة المصيدة وإدخال التربية الخفيفة واستزراع البحيرة بفراخ الأسماك يعتبران حلين مهمين لتنمية الإنتاج. إن جمع الطحالب الكبيرة من نوع الغراسيلاريا ممكن داخل البحيرة لكنه غر كاف بمفرده لتغطية حاجيات صناعة ثقيلة لاستخراج الأغرة، ولهذا فان الاستزراع يصبح ضرورة لتنمية هذه الثروة. نظرا لكل هذه العوامل فان معهد صلامبو يقوم حاليا بدراسة شاملة للبحيرة قصد تحسين استغلالها والمحافظة على ثرواتها.
