El Acuerdo de Cooperación Técnica entre COLCIENCIAS, República de Colombia y la UNIVERSIDAD JUSTUS LIEBIG de Giessen, República Federal de Alemania, entró en toda su vigencia a partir del I9 de enero de 1976 y el mismo se prolongará hasta el 3 1 de diciembre de 1978. Los objetivos propuestos en el Convenio, relacionados con la investigación básica, la investigación aplicada y la formación de personal científico colombiano, se cumplieron de acuerdo con lo esperado. Precisamente esta publicación refleja lo fructífera que ha sido la labor de INVEMAR en los últimos años. Digo en los últimos años, pues es lógico, que buena parte de los trabajos científicos que aquí se publican, tienen sus raíces desde antes de firmarse el Convenio entre ambos países. Los aportes convenidos tanto en personal como en dinero y en equipos, se han cumplido igualmente. Por su parte COLCIENCIAS continuó con el incremento del personal científico y administrativo, así como con las adecuaciones y dotaciones necesarias para el normal funcionamiento del Instituto, asi como la asignación de becas para estudiantes y profesionales colombianos y la realización de cursos. En cuanto al Gobierno alemán, también ha cumplido con sus aportes tanto en personal como en equipo. En cuanto a personal, se tuvo la visita de dos expertos de corta duración: el doctor REINHART SCHNETTER, botánico y el doctor K. J. GÓTING, malacólogo. También llegaron dos técnicos de laboratorio, el señor KLAUS MÜLLER y la señorita BIRGIT STOLZE, quienes trabajarán por dos años en el Instituto.
The Technical Cooperation Agreement between COLCIENCIAS, Republic of Colombia and the Justus Liebig University of Giessen, Federal Republic of Germany, came into full force from I9 January 1976 and the same shall be extended until 3 1 December 1978 . The objectives of the Convention relating to basic research, applied research and training of scientific personnel in Colombia, were completed in accordance with expectations. Precisely This publication shows how fruitful has been the work of INVEMAR in recent years. Say in recent years, it is logical that much of the scientific papers published here have their roots from before the signing of the agreement between the two countries. The agreed contributions in both money and manpower and equipment, also have been met. For its part COLCIENCIAS continued to increase scientific and administrative staff, as well as the adaptations and equipment necessary for the normal functioning of the Institute and the allocation of scholarships for Colombian students and professionals and the delivery of courses. As the German Government has also fulfilled its contributions both in personnel and equipment. In terms of staffing, there was the visit two short-term experts: Dr. REINHART Schnett, botanist, and Dr. K. J. Göttingen, malacologist. It also came two laboratory technicians, Mr. KLAUS MÜLLER and Miss BIRGIT Stolz, who will work for two years at the Institute.
