O trabalho objetivou avaliar a exigência de fósforo total (Pt) para alevinos de tilápia do Nilo. Foram utilizados 125 alevinos com peso e comprimento iniciais médios de 0,95 ± 0,11 g e 3,81 ± 0,18 cm, respectivamente. O delineamento foi inteiramente casualizado, com cinco tratamentos (0,4%; 0,6%; 0,8%; 1,0%; e 1,2% de Pt na ração) e cinco repetições. Avaliaram-se o peso final (PF), o comprimento final (CF), a conversão alimentar (CA) e a sobrevivência (SO). Os melhores PF (P < 0,05) foram observados nos peixes alimentados com as rações contendo 0,8%; 1,0% e 1,2% de Pt. O melhor CF foi com a ração 0,8% e a pior CA foi observada para a ração com 0,4% de Pt, e a menor SO foi proporcionada pela ração com 1,2% de Pt. Através da análise LRP (Linear Response Plateau), observou-se um aumento linear no PF com platô em 0,74% de Pt. A exigência de Pt para alevinos de tilápia do Nilo é de 0,74%
The work aimed to evaluate the requirement of total phosphorus (Pt) for Nile tilapia. 125 fingerlings with average initial weight and length of 0.95 ± 0.11 g and 3.81 ± 0.18 cm, respectively, were used. An entirely randomized design was used with five treatments (0.4; 0.6; 0.8; 1.0; and 1.2% of Pt in the ration) and five replications. The final weight (FW), final length (FL), food conversion (FC) and survival (SU) were evaluated. The best FW (W < 0.05) had been observed in the fish fed with the rations contend 0.8; 1.0 and 1.2% of Pt. The best FL was with ration 0.8% and the worst FC was observed for the ration with 0.4% of Pt, the lowest SU was proportionate for the ration with 1.2% of Pt. Through LRP (Linear Response Plateau) analysis was observed a linear increase in the FW with plateau in 0.74% of Pt. The requirement of Pt for Nile tilapia fingerlings is 0.74%
