Geotechnologies for the processing of orbital sensor data allow detailed study of watersheds. To contribute to the management and handling of these areas, this study aimed to characterize the Serragem watershed in the Tremembé, SP municipality. The study was conducted in the GIS Laboratory of the University of Taubaté (LAGEO), using the image analysis software package, known as SPRING to analyze the georreferenced database provided by Tremembé municipality in São Paulo state. The results showed that the Serragem watershed has straight channels, intense runoff due to the steep slopes and low drainage density. Thus it was concluded that the basin is not subjected to floods.
