En el Estado de México, en los últimos años el problema principal que enfrentan tanto las dependencias federales y estatales del sector agropecuario, es la carencia de información real sobre el medio rural y específicamente sobre la superficie sembrada de maíz y el volumen de producción que se obtiene; lo que origina una falta de elementos para la planeación. Por ello los objetivos de esta tesis es desarrollar y difundir la importancia que tienen los Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG) en los pronósticos de estimación de rendimiento y producción, recordando que la predicción de cosecha permite tomar decisiones razonables para el manejo de excedentes de producción, cupos de importación, orientación de apoyos a la comercialización y asistencia a regiones con siniestros.Para La aplicación de los Sistemas de Información Geográfica a programas de producción agrícolas como fue le caso del Programa de Estimación, Superficie, Producción y Rendimiento (PRONESPRE), se analizaron las metodologías que utilizan tantos las instituciones Federales como la Secretaria de Agricultura, Ganadería, Desarrollo Rural, Pesca y Alimentación (SAGARPA) como con la Secretaria de Desarrollo Agropecuario por parte del Estado de México (SEDAGRO). Los resultados obtenidos por institución no fueron homogéneos, salvo en algunos años en que tuvieron cierta aproximación la Secretaria de Desarrollo Agropecuaria (SEDAGRO) y el Sistema de Información Agrícola y pecuaria (SIAP), organismo de la SAGARPA. Lo logros obtenidos, permitirán obtener información mas certera y oportuna, para decisiones gubernamentales en la planificación agrícola, así como conocerlo.________In the State of Mexico, in the last years the principal problem that there face so much the federal and state dependences of the agricultural (farming) sector, is the lack of royal (real) information about the rural way and specifically on sowed with maize (corn) and on the volume of production that is obtained; what originates a lack (mistake) of planeación. For it the aims (lenses) of this thesis it is to develop and to spread the importance that there have the Systems of Geographical Information (SIG) in the forecasts (predictions) of estimation of performance (yield) and production, remembering that the prediction of crop allows to take reasonable decisions for the managing surplus of production, quotas of import, orientation of supports to the marketing and assistance to regions with desasters. For The application of the Systems of Geographical Information to agricultural programs of production since (as,like) he(she) was I marry him of the Program of Estimation, Surface, Production and Performance(Yield) (PRONESPRE), there were analyzed the methodologies that use so many people the Federal institutions as the Secretariat of Agriculture, Ranching(Cattle), Rural Development, Fishing and Nourishment (SAGARPA) as with the Secretariat of Agricultural(Farming) Development on the part of the State of Mexico (SEDAGRO). The results obtained by institution were not homogeneous, except in any years in which they had certain approximation the Agricultural(Farming) Secretariat of Development (SEDAGRO) and the System of Agricultural and cattle Information (SIAP), organism of the SAGARPA. Obtained achievements, they will allow to obtain information mas accurate and opportune, for governmental decisions in the agricultural planning, as well as to know them.
