The Centre National pour l'Exploitation des Océans (CNEXO) has developed a tropical aquaculture program. For this, the CNEXO reckons on the Centre Océanologique du Pacifique (COP) , located in TAHITI (French Polynesia), and the Station d'Aquaculture de St-Vincent, located in NEW CALEDONIA. The tropical area seems to be highly propicious to the development of Penaeid shrimp farming, due to the high temperature which allows full production throughout the year. [NOT CONTROLLED OCR]
