This article reports the results of a survey of the pearl oyster industry in French Polynesia territory. Its purpose is to examine the perceptions of the priorities for the development of this industry towards sustainable development. These perceptions were apprehended by a survey of pearl oyster farmers and other stakeholders of the sector (management authorities, scientists). After describing the methodological protocol of these investigations, it comes to confront the priorities chosen by professionals (i.e. pearl farmers) concerning sustainable development, with the perceptions of others stakeholders in the sector. Results of long-term current measurements in the Seine Bay are presented: (1) tidal flow and propagation of the tide across the bay; (2) ability to predict tidal currents from previous measurements by the means of harmonic analysis; (3) identification of residual flow factors according to a principal component analysis in a complex space; (4) description of the tidal residual flow with large eddies; (5) demonstration of wind effects on currents.

Aérosols côtiers dans le nord de la Manche ArchiMer

Dix-huit prélèvements d'aérosols ont été effectués en Manche Nord, soit en bordure de mer, soit à quelques milles au large, à l'aide d'un impacteur à cascade (5 étages). L'ensemble des données (concentrations de 8 éléments répartis en 6 classes granulométriques successives) est exploité par analyse factorielle des correspondances. Celle-ci permet de mettre en évidence de larges déformations dans les spectres granulométriques pour les éléments traceurs marin et terrestre (Na et Al). En opposition, les métaux résultant d'activité anthropique (Fe, Pb, Zn, Mn), ont des comportements beaucoup plus typés.
