Le calcul de l’indicateur angiospermes dans la masse d’eau FRFC09 – Lac d’Hossegor est basé sur le suivi de trois métriques (composition, extension, abondance) des deux espèces de zostères présentes dans le Lac : Zostera noltei et Zostera marina. Les résultats obtenus jusqu’en 2018 permettent d’affecter une « bonne qualité »à cette masse d’eau vis-à-vis de cet indicateur.

L'exploitation des ressources par la pêche professionnelle et par la conchyliculture repose sur des ressources vivantes sauvages ou domestiquées qui sont présentes dans différents milieux aquatiques depuis les rivières jusqu'au large en mer. L'état de ces populations dépend non seulement des choix d'exploitation au regard des capacités de renouvellement des stocks mais aussi des caractéristiques environnementales qui impactent les différentes phases des cycles biologiques des espèces et jouent donc sur leur bon déroulement. Suivi DCE du paramètre macroalgue subtidale (FRFC11 côte basque année 2011) ArchiMer

Under the WFD monitoring the “subtidal macroalgae” parameter is calculated for the second time on the Basque coast water body from the protocol used in Britain and adapted to local environmental context. In 2011, three stations were sampled instead of 5 in 2008. The result is the same to the one obtained in 2008 with a quality index "medium" for the whole of the water body. The main criterion penalizing the calculation of the index is "opportunistic species" for each station. There is variability between sites according to the criteria between the two campaigns reflecting the interest of monitoring every three years on the three sites.

IDHEBARC 2018-2019 : Bilan d’activité Secteur de Gujan-Mestras ArchiMer

Le projet IDHEBARC s’intéresse à l’impact potentiel des travaux maritimes (nettoyage des friches ostréicoles, dragage des ports, …) sur les herbiers de zostères du Bassin d’Arcachon. Ce projet pluriannuel comporte des actions de modélisation hydrosédimentaire visant à cartographier l’intensité des impacts potentiels, et un suivi de l’évolution de l’emprise et du recouvrement des herbiers et de la composition de leur fond sédimentaire. Ce rapport présente les résultats du suivi réalisé dans le secteur de Gujan-Mestras (Bassin d’Arcachon) où des travaux de dragage ont été réalisés de septembre 2018 à avril 2019.

ROMELIGO. Amélioration des connaissances halieutiques du ROuget-barbet, du MErlan et du LIeu jaune du GOlfe de Gascogne ArchiMer

The stocks of whiting (Merlangius merlangus), pollack (Pollachius pollachius) and striped red mullet (Mullus surmuletus), are considered by ICES as Data Limited Stocks (DLS) for the Bay of Biscay areas, those bordering the Iberian Peninsula as well as the Celtic Sea for red mullet. In the case of insufficient data for an analytical assessment, ICES has recommended, for 2013 and 2014, to precautionarily reduce landings by 20 % compared to the period 2009-2011 for these 3 stocks. Evaluation of proposed harvest control rules for Bay of Biscay sole ArchiMer

The assessment of the angiosperm quality element (Zostera noltei) for transitional water body (here, FRFT8 Bidassoa) considers the monitoring of 3 metrics: the taxinomic composition, the spatial bed extent and the abundance (percentage cover). In 2019, the angiosperm quality element for FRFT8 Bidassoa was “very good”. This result is due to an increase of the abundance of seagrass bed compared to 2018.

In 2014, under the second cycle of WFD monitoring the "subtidal macroalgae" parameter is calculated on 3 stations of the “Basque coast” water body. Complementary metric have been obtained for the first time, as for all the Channel / Atlantic coast. Their aim is to optimize the information collected to assess the ecological status of water bodies. The calculation of the Ecological Quality Ratio (EQR) classify this water body as "Good" as in 2013 with a tendency to improve notation.

Update of striped red mullet abundance indices from professional fishing data (2016-2018) ArchiMer

The ROMELIGO project included a proposal of abundance indicators for mur-west stock using professional fishing data. The methodolgy is based on the selection of samples of representative vessels grouped in clusters with the same technical characteristics, taking into account their LPUE for specifed period and area. The analysis was conducted on an historical dataset from 2005 to 2015. To be able to update it, conditional decision trees were used to find rules to assign any new vessels to one of the predefined OTB or GNS clusters. Campagne d’évaluation du stock de palourdes du bassin d’Arcachon. Année 2018 ArchiMer

This report details the results of clam stock assessment survey, which took place between 14 May and 17 June 2018 in Arcachon Bay. Co-organized with CDPMEM33, with financial support from DLAL FEAMP Arcachon Basin Val de l'Eyre, Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, the CDPMEM33 and Ifremer, the clam stock assessment and its characteristics were provided. The samples were collected from 533 sampling stations distributed over an area of 52 km², with an Hamon grab, using a generalized random tessellation stratified spatially balanced design (GRTS). Venerupis philippinarum remains the dominant species with 99 % of the population. The size distribution of Manila clam is in the range 5 – 41 mm with a main mode around 24-28 mm. In 2013, under the WFD monitoring the "subtidal macroalgae" parameter is calculated on 3 stations of the “Basque coast” water body. The classification for this parameter is "good", and scores obtained are higher than the previous years. This observation is mainly based on the fact that deeper bathymetric levels were sampled and allowed to better characterize belts and associated communities. The effects of bad spring weather conditions on algae growth are not visible at the time of sampling. After these first three sampling campains improvements and additions to the protocol are proposed to provide information for European directives.

This report describes the results 2020 of the second year monitoring, using intertidal macroalgal data in the transitional water body FRFT07 “Adour aval”. The processing of these data and the calculation of the associated indicator revealed that the Adour water body was in good ecological quality status as for the first sampling campaign in 2017 and the test campaign in 2015.
