This study aimed at exploring factors influencing farmer’s decision making in Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) of mango production project in Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Interview schedule was applied with 260 farmers. The descriptive statistics and logistic regression analysis were used for data analysis. The results showed that most respondents were female, 46.19 years of age, and were graduated above elementary educational level. The average household members were 4.32 persons. The experience in growing mango was 10.88 years on average, the average mango farm area was 39.93 rai with the average production of 1,233 k.g./rai/year. The average incomes from mango production were 102,580 baht/rai/year with the average cost of 82,904...

Objectives of this study were to investigate the cost and return to farmers on their corn production classified by varieties in Tak Fa district, Nakhon Sawan province in 2009 crop year. Out of 122 farm samples, 75, 13, 19 and 15 farms were found using variety A, B, C and others, respectively. The results showed that most of the farms had a similar production pattern. In addition, it was found that variety B had the highest cost of production, average yield, revenue and net profit (3,667.3 Baht/Rai 1,112.9 Kg./Rai 4,218.0 Baht/Rai and 550.7 Baht/Rai, respectively). Furthermore, the results indicated that variety C had the lowest yield risk while variety B had the lowest price risk. The study suggested that variety A was appropriate for the risk adverse...

Cassava is one of the most important upland crops of Cambodia. While improved technologies are needed for sustainable production of the crop, their adoption depends on how farmers view cassava against other crops. The objective of this study was to assess the perception of Cambodian farmers on growing cassava, relative to other upland crops. The study was conducted in Kampong Cham province in Northeast Cambodia which has the largest cassava production area in the country. สถานการณ์การผลิต และการตลาดมะละกอ ในจังหวัดมหาสารคาม กาฬสินธุ์และร้อยเอ็ด Thai Agricultural

The study focuses on the papaya production, including its cultivation, marketing, and process in three provinces in Thailand, namely Mahasarakham, Kalasin, and Roi-et. A survey with questionnaires was used in data-gathering. Key informants are 250 farmers who have papaya farms. SPSS program was employed in data analysis.It is found that during June to December 2008, farmers in Roi-et and Mahasarakham grow papaya as a supplement occupation, mainly for household consumption. On the other hand, farmers in Kalasin grow papaya for extra income. The average yield of Roi et, Kalasin and Mahasarakham were 92, 116 and 85 kg/tree/year, respectively. The papaya farm area has low fertile land with coarse textured soils or Loamy Sand which has its pH of 4.9 or higher....
