| Cette étude a pour but de déterminer la structure générale des peuplements d’Annélides Polychètes le long de la côte N-E du golfe de Tunis. Au total, neuf stations ont été échantillonnées et les spécimens récoltés ont été identifiés, pour la plus part, jusqu’au niveau spécifique. Ensuite, des analyses de la classification ascendante hiérarchique ont été réalisées sur les abondances des différentes espèces aux stations étudiées, ce qui a permis de définir trois groupes de stations faunistiquement plus homogènes avec leurs espèces leaders. | Macrobenthic sampling was carried out during the survey of mussel beds (Mytilus edulis platensis, D'Orb)at the continental shelf of Buenos Aires province (Argentina)(EH-06/93, INIDEP). 47 samples were obtained with a hard bottom dredge between 18 m and 64 m depth;sedimentological samples were also collected in every station. | We investigated the abundance of the meiobenthos and the biomass and community structure of the nematodes in the central Arctic Ocean along two separate transects during 1991 and 1994. Meiobenthos abundances ranged from < 100 to 600 individuals per 10 cm², in the same order of magnitude as in other oligotrophic areas of the world's deep ocean. Nematodes were the numerically dominant meiofaunal group at every station. Nematode biomass ranged from < 1 to 48 µg dry weight per 10 cm². A combination of water depth and latitude explained 55% of the variability among stations in nematode biomass and 67% of the variability of total abundance, implying that both vertical and advective fluxes are important sources of food to the meiofaunal communities. | Early (post)larval fish constitute a significant part of the temporary hyperbenthos, i.e. of the fauna living in the lower reaches of the water column close to the substratum. Information on the densities and spatial and temporal variations of these stages, as well as on their lengths at the moment of occurrence, can be an important contribution to the knowledge of their dispersion, migrations and to the identification of possible bottlenecks in their recruitment.
