Studies in Amanita—I. Some species from Amazonia Naturalis
Bas, C..
Eight species of Amanita from tropical lowland forests around Manaus, Brazil, are described, seven as new and one under a provisional name: A. campinaranae, A. coacta, A. craseoderma, A. crebresulcata, A. lanivolva, A. phaea nom. prov., A. sulcatissima, and A. xerocybe. Information is given on the types of Amanitopsis plumbea Rick and Collybia sulcatissima Rick, both remaining insufficiently known taxa. A very sketchy grouping of South American Amanitas on ecological grounds is discussed.

Reviews Naturalis
Donk, M.A.; Maas Geesteranus, R.A.; Bas, C..
When Dr. Cunningham died in 1962 the manuscript of this monograph was still uncompleted. Miss J. M. Dingley, with the assistance of her staff, undertook to make it ready for publication. The result is a well-edited companion-volume to the previously published “The Thelephoraceae of Australia and New Zealand”. Only species are included ‘authentic’ specimens of which were examined. Under a section “Unknown and Rejected Species” a long list of names is given “of species listed by earlier workers but of which specimens have not been available for study, are not in the region, or which were based on faulty identifications”.

Notulae ad Floram agaricinam neerlandicam — XII. Some notes on the genera Oudemansiella and Xerula Naturalis
Boekhout, T.; Bas, C..
The generic separation of Oudemansiella and Xerula is discussed and accepted as proposed by Dörfelt. Xerula caussei and X. kuehneri are redescribed and illustrated. Xerula nigra and X. renatii are considered conspecific with X. caussei. Dactylosporina is reduced to the synonymy of Xerula. The new combinations X. steffenii and X. macracantha are introduced.

Notes on Agaricales—II Naturalis
Bas, C..
Galerina uncialis, originally described as a species growing on mossy trunks, but found to be growing in abundance on terrestrial mosses, is redescribed and compared with other annulate species of Galerina of the open country. Pholiota pumila sensu F. H. Möller is redescribed as Galerina moelleri nov. spec., and Galera pumila f. oreina J. Favre reduced to the synonymy of Galerina moelleri. Pholiota pumila var. subferruginea Möller & Lange is regarded as a nomen dubium. Attention is drawn to the fact that Galerina unicolor (Vahl ex Sommerf.) Sing. in its original sense is a terrestrial species. The new combination Galerina praticola is proposed, and the microscopical description of the species supplemented.
