The European species of the subgenus Aliolus Say, 1836, of the genus Eubazus Nees, 1814, and of the genus Dicyrtaspis van Achterberg, 1980 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Brachistinae) are reviewed. The identity of Triaspis thomsoni Fahringer, 1934, and the interpretation by S˘ noflák (1953) are discussed. A lectotype is designated for T. thomsoni, a neotype for the types species of Aliolus Say, 1836 (Bracon trilobatus Say, 1836) and T. thomsoni sensu Šnoflák is described as a new species (Eubazus nigroventralis spec. nov.) from Bulgaria, Germany and Czech Republic. Two new species of the E. lepidus-group are described and illustrated (E. punctifer cpec. nov. from Bulgaria and E. planifacialis spec. nov. from The Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden). In addition, a... |

During our studies of various collections of Halictinae from New-Guinea and Bismarck Archipelago, 54 species were found: 2 Sphecodes (subgenera Sphecodes and Callosphecodes), 3 Pachyhalictus, 1 Urohalictus, 3 Lasioglossum (subgenera Parasphecodes, Nesohalictus and Ctenonomia) and 45 Homalictus (5 Papualictus and 40 Homalictus s.str.). Among the Homalictus, 21 new species are described: H. micheneri, H. altissimus, H. filiferreus, H. flavipes, H. flammeus, H. goilalaensis, H. gressitti, H. malgiensis, H. minutus, H. morobeensis, H. pilositarsis, H. rufiscopa, H. rufopurpureus, H. scabrosus, H. scutolactescens, H. scutopruinescens, H. spinosus, H. strigilalius, H. subsphecodes, H. trigoniformis and H. wauensis. The Homalictus are classified into four groups... |

The diagnosis of the poorly known genus Kokandia Yefremova & Kriskovich, 1995 (based on the single species K. salsolicola, a parasitoid of the gall midge Desertovellum stackelbergi Mamaev) is clarified and the genus is re-described. This genus is not related to Omphale Haliday, 1833 (as it was stated in the original description), because the clypeus is not delimited. The type species of Kokandia resembles species of Closterocerus Westwood, 1833, in its habitual appearance, but differs by the absence of the subtorular grooves. The main autapomorphy of Kokandia is the wide peculiar adocular flange (not seen in any other known genus of the subfamily Entedoninae). Possible relationships of Kokandia with the genera Closterocerus, Pediobopsis Girault, 1913,... |

Life cycle of A. corruptrix (Schlechtendal, 1870) is treated and corrections to previous experiments are discussed. A new sexual form for A. corruptrix is herein described, while A corruptrix forma larshemi is considered a valid species and for taxonomical reasons is renamed as Andricus improprius n. stat & n.sp, only known by the sexual form, and not linked with A. corruptrix. Lectotypes for ,4. improprius n. stat & n, sp. (= A. larshemi not available) are also designated. |

Six new species of the genus Austrozele Roman, one new genus (Rectizele; type species: R. parki spec. nov. from Korea), and eight species of the genus Macrocentrus Curtis are described and illustrated. Keys to the Holarctic genera and to the Palaearctic species are added. New combinations are: Dolichozele gravitarsis (Muesebeck, 1938); Hymenochaonia delicata (Cresson, 1872). The following new synonyms are proposed: Paniscozele sumatrana Enderlein, 1920, and Palinzele oceanica Brues, 1922, with Austrozele longipes (Holmgren, 1868); Plectobracon testaceus Brèthes, 1927, with Dolichozele koebeli Viereck, 1911; Eubadizon dubius Wesmael, 1835, Macrocentrus affinis Hedwig, 1961, and M. affiniqades Shenefelt, 1969, with M. collaris (Spinola, 1808); Macrocentrus... |

Two new species of Krombeinius from Indonesia are described and illustrated, K. kubah from Java and K. dictyon from Sulawesi. In addition, K. eumenidarum Bouček and K. megalaspis (Cameron) are redescribed to allow comparison with the closely related species, K. dictyon and K. kubah, respectively. The first-instar larva of K. kubah is described from an aculeate wasp cocoon associated with the holotype and these planidia are compared with those known for Perilampidae and Eucharitidae. The new species are accommodated in the key to species and phylogenetic analysis of the genus presented in Darling (1988) and the biogeographic implications of the phylogeny are discussed. |
