| Die Entwicklung der Landwirtschaft war in den letzten Jahrzehnten gekennzeichnet durch einen beispiellosen Anstieg des Dünge- und Pflanzenschutzmitteleinsatzes sowie durch entsprechend starke Ertragssteigerungen. Die damit verbundenen nachteiligen Umweltwirkungen auf Wasser, Boden und Atmosphäre führten einerseits zur Suche nach Optimierungsstrategien und andererseits zu erhöhten Anstrengungen bei der Prüfung alternativer Bewirtschaftungsformen. Zur Prüfung von Ackerbausystemen des ökologischen Landbaus wurden ab dem Jahr 1992 komplexe Dauerversuche angelegt. Es wurden Verfahren von viehlosen sowie von viehhaltenden Betrieben simuliert. | O estudo foi desenvolvido durante 2004 a 2006, em Campo Grande, MS, num Latossolo Vermelho Escuro, com experimentos na primavera/verão e outono/inverno, objetivando avaliar a produtividade de massa seca, quantidade, teor de N e produtividade dos adubos verdes: Crotalaria juncea, ochroleuca, mucronata, spectabilis e breviflora, Canavalia ensiformes (feijão-de-porco), Canavalia brasiliensis (feijão-bravo-do-ceará), Mucuna aterrima (mucuna-preta), Mucuna prurien (mucuna-cinza), Cajanus cajan cv. fava-arga e IAPAR Aratã 43. | In Brazil, pear production presents the same incipient situation over the last 15 years, due mostly to low production technology. In this context, this study aimed to evaluate the development, growth and production of the pear tree cultivars Cascatense, Tenra and Hosui grafted on 'CPP' quince rootstock, using 'FT' pear as interstem. This trial was carried out in Guarapuava, State of Paraná, Southern region of Brazil, by five productive cycles. | By the intensifying of the livestock production with specialised and larger farm units the role of grassland has been reduced. The change in EU policy from a production-oriented marked to a marked where the choice of crop is linked to its added value; grassland has an opportunity to come back. | A cultura da batata (Solanum tuberosum L.) tem grande importância econômica no Paraná, tendo sido este o maior produtor da batata do Brasil. Mudanças de mercado e tecnológicas fizeram com que os produtores saíssem da atividade. A região metropolitana de Curitiba era a responsável por grande parte da produção da chamada “batata-comum”, que estava na mão de agricultores familiares. Ainda, têm aumentado as restrições legais de uso da terra face à demanda crescente por mananciais de água. | A model is being developed which describes the population dynamics of annual weeds and how it is affected by crop rotation, cultivation practices and weed control. The model aims to predict the development of a certain weed species in order to plan crop rotation and cultivation practices to minimize the risk of proliferation. The model does not predict the exact number of weeds expected to be found in a certain year or crop, but rather the general development over a number of years. | Degraded areas are frequent in vineyards, even if managed by organic farming, mainly caused by soil truncation, soil erosion, or salts enrichment. Recovering strategies implemented in 19 degraded vineyards in 5 countries within the RESOLVE project concerned: (i) composted organic amendments, or seeding of cover crops (including legumes) for (ii) green manure or (iii) dry mulch. | Organic crop production seeks to produce high quality foods while reducing the inputs in order to promote environmental quality and conserve resources. This necessitates optimal production systems in terms of soil fertility and plant health. Studies in QLIF subproject 3 have shown that soils may gain an improved potential to release N from added amendments through adaptation of management practices. Likewise, long-term management strategies may influence suppressiveness of soils to economically important diseases. | O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o desempenho da cultura do milho e características químicas do solo ao longo de quatro anos, em função do uso de sistema de base agroecológica de produção. Foi utilizado o delineamento em blocos ao acaso, com quatro repetições e cinco tratamentos: 1) aplicação em área total de cama de aviário (5 t ha-1ano-1); 2) aplicação, em cobertura, do biofertilizante “uréia natural”; 3) aplicação, em cobertura, de urina de vaca a 10% de diluição; 4) plantio simultâneo de milho + leguminosa; 5) testemunha com manejo agroecológico.
