Klinckowstroemiella helleri (Ouds., 1929) nov. comb, for Fedrizzia helleri Ouds., 1929 (Acarina-Klinkowstroemiidae) Naturalis
Womersley, H..
SYNOPSIS The type slide of the species Fedrizzia helleri briefly described by Oudemans 1929 from Paramaribo, Dutch Guiana, but never figured, has been re-examined. The species is now shown to belong not to the genus Fedrizzia Canest. (fam. Fedrizziidae) but to the genus Klinckowstroemiella Turk 1951 (fam. Klinckowstroemiidae).

Three species of Crustacea Decapoda Macrura from Southern Brazil, including a new species of Upogebia Naturalis
Holthuis, L.B..
In June 1954, during an ecological study of the mangroves near the Research Station of the São Paulo University Oceanographic Institute at Cananeia, about 200 km south of Santos, southern Brazil, Dr. S. Gerlach of the Zoological Institute and Museum of the University of Kiel, Germany, collected some Crustacea representing three species of Decapoda Macrura; two of these belong to the family Alpheidae and one to the Callianassidae. I am most grateful to Dr. Gerlach for the privilege to study this small but interesting collection, which now is the property of the Kiel Museum; duplicate specimens are inserted in the collection of the Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie at Leiden. Family ALPHEIDAE The two species of Alpheidae were collected near Cananeia,...

Bemerkungen über Pedipalpi (Fortsetzung) Naturalis
Speijer, E.A.M..
Hyloniscus riparius: een lang onopgemerkte landpissebed in Nederland (Crustacea, Isopoda: Trichoniscidae)? Naturalis
Wijnhoven, H..
Hyloniscus riparius: an unnoticed terrestrial wood-louse in the Netherlands (Crustacea, Isopoda: Trichoniscidae) ? Until recently Hyloniscus riparius was only recorded from The Netherlands from green-houses in the Botanical Garden at Utrecht. More recently material was collected in the Ooy Polder. It is suggested that the species may have been overlooked. The identification is discussed as well as some findings at the new locality in the Ooy Polder.

On a new species of blackwater prawn, Macrobrachium oxyphilus (Crustacea: Decapoda: Caridea: Palaemonidae), from peat swamps in Peninsular Malaysia Naturalis
Ng, P.K.L..
A new species of freshwater palaemonid prawn, Macrobrachium oxyphilus spec, nov., is described from highly acidic blackwaters in a peat swamp forest in Selangor, Peninsular Malaysia. The species differs from its nearest congener, M. trompii (de Man, 1898), in having proportionately smaller eyes, shorter scaphocerites, a lesser number of ventral rostral teeth, a more inflated carapace, and less pubescent and more spiniferous chelipeds.

The specific characters of Sacculina rotundata Miers and Sacculina yatsui nov. spec Naturalis
Boschma, H..
In a previous paper (Boschma, 1935) I made some remarks concerning the parasites of Pachygrapsus crassipes Randall from Japan, viz., Sacculina confragosa and the specimens mentioned then under the name Sacculina rotundata. The latter parasite, indeed, shows some resemblance to S. rotundata, but a closer examination of its characters shows that it is specifically distinct from this species. It appears to be a new species which is described in the present paper as Sacculina yatsui. Moreover the results of a more or less detailed investigation on Sacculina rotundata are given here to show the differences between the two species. Sacculina yatsui nov. spec.

[Proceedings of the 5th Symposium on Mesozoic and Cenozoic Decapod Crustaceans, Krakow, Poland, 2013: A tribute to Pál Mihály Müller / R.H.B. Fraaije, M. Hyžný, J.W.M. Jagt, M. Krobicki & B.W.M. van Bakel (eds.)]: A new shallow-marine munidopsid (Anomura, Galatheoidea) from the Upper Miocene in the Maroni-Psematismenos Basin of Cyprus Naturalis
Fraaije, R.H.B..
Several well-preserved remains of a new munidopsid anomuran, Palmunidopsis muelleri n. gen., n. sp., are described from a Late Miocene (Tortonian-Messinian) reef-associated decapod crustacean faunule of southern Cyprus. This is the first record of a Late Miocene representative of the family. The occurrence in very shallow-water, reefal limestones of the Koronia Member (Pakhna Formation) in southern Cyprus is atypical in comparison to the ecology of extant munidopsids.

On two new species of the genus Acanthochondria Oakley (Crustacea Copepoda) found in Japan Naturalis
Shiino, S.M..
Acanthochondria Oakley is a genus of parasitic copepods, the members of which usually cling to the gills or gill arches of fishes, or to the mucous membrane of their buccal cavity, or to the inner surface of their operculum. Two new species of this genus recently obtained in Japan are described here in some detail. Acanthochondria yui sp. nov. (figs. 1, 2) Occurrence. — On the operculum, the gill arches and the roof of the buccal cavity of Acanthogobius flavimanus (Temminck & Schlegel), taken at the estuary of the river Aikawa, Tsu, Japan, by Mr. K. Mori. 19 females on one host, 22 on another; each associated with a male. One of the females from the former lot is selected the holotype. Female. — The colour is whitish, the egg tubes are white. A new alpheid shrimp (Crustacea: Decapoda: Alpheidae) from South Vietnam Naturalis
Nguyên Van Xuân.
A new alpheid shrimp, Thuylamea camelus gen. nov. & spec. nov., from Dong Hoa, a coastal community of Can Gio district, and northwest of Vung Tau (Cap St. Jacques), Vietnam, is described and illustrated. The new genus appears not to be closely related to any of the previously described genera. It has the postero-dorsal margin of the carapace armed with two high and short crests which are slightly outward inclined and directed backward, and between these crests with a low but distinct conical spine, and an elevated conical boss in the anterior median area slightly behind the anterior margin of the first abdominal somite.

Reef-building corals (Cnidaria: Scleractinia) from the Watamu Marine National Reserve, Kenya; an annotated species list Naturalis
Lemmens, J.W.T.J..
The scleractinian fauna of the Watamu Marine National Reserve, Kenya, was surveyed between November 1982 and April 1983. The survey yielded 276 specimens representing 113 species in 45 genera, which are presented in an annotated checklist. Four genera and 43 species are added to the the list of previously known Scleractinia for East-Africa, bringing the number of species recorded for this region to 169. This substantial increase, as well as the high coral diversity of nearby communities, suggests that further additions can be expected.
