การทดสอบพันธุ์ข้าวโพดลูกผสมในไร่เกษตรกร Thai Agricultural

Fourteen commercial corn hybrids were tested the yield potential in farmer field at Lansak city, Uthaitani province during rainy season on 2009. The objective was to compare the yield of corn hybrids when input high plant nutrition, level 14-7-13 of N-P-K Kilogram per rai. The result revealed that variety NK 48 gave high yield (1,248 Kilograms per rai) and the second PAC 339 (1,216 Kilograms per rai) whereas the public varieties NSW 3 and KU 4452 were 1,023 and 1,117 Kilograms per rai respectively.

การศึกษาคุณภาพข้าวโพดคั่วเพื่อพัฒนาเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์เชิงพาณิชย์ Thai Agricultural

Five popcorn varieties were tested for their quality at the National Corn and Sorghum Research Center in 2009. The objective is to choose the high potential popcorn variety for sugar-butter flavor popcorn snack as a commercial product. The experiment laid out in RCBD, composed of 5 treatments with 4 replications. The quality under investigation including, popping percentage, expansion volume, flake size, grain moisture, germinal and abgerminal thickness, grain size, flake type, flake color and taste score. The result found that Five stars popcorn, a commercial popcorn variety gave the best quality followed by pearl popcorn composite. It had 98 percent of popping percentage, 37 mg/g of expansion volume, 7.5 ml/grain of flake size, 274 micron of abgerminal...

Severity of 3-diseases including bacterial leaf streak, downy mildew and Curvularia leaf spot were reduced ranging 40.4-83.0 percent evaluated at 45-day old plants that cell suspension of P38 and PCL21 showed significantly higher in disease suspension than KPS46 and copper hydroxide chemical, except SP007s (P=0.05). Regarding microbial formulation response, SP007s in talc-based formulation was the best results toward control diseases concerned and increased yield quality (2.7 percent lowest unsatisfied kernel and 17 brix sweetness) and quality (1,803.2 kg/rai). It was shown that application of indigenous antagonist with its host specificity, and formulated cells is greater effective delivery system in disease management strategies than introduced...

Quality of forage sorghum at second cut on milk production Thai Agricultural

This study was conducted to determine effects of quality of purple guinea grass (Panicum maximum TD 58) and forage sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) at second cut on dry matter intake, milk production, liveweigh change, metabolic profiles and economic return in dairy cows. Using twelve multiparous cows. Two groups (six cows in each groups) of GT=75 percent Holstein Freesian dairy cows were imposed by Group comparison. Group 1 were fed fresh purple guinea grass. While in group 2, cows were fed fresh forage sorghum, All the cows were also supplemented with concentrate (18.33 percent CP, 70 percent TDN) twice daily at milking (i.e. at 05.00 am. and 02.00 pm.).
