ABSTRACT: Vis-NIR-SWIR reflectance spectra of leaf samples, collected in the laboratory, allow the calibration of predictive models to quantify their physicochemical attributes in a practical manner and without producing chemical residues. This technique should enable the development of management strategies for intensification of pasture use. However, spectral analysis performed in the laboratory may be affected by the deterioration of plant material during transport from the field to the lab, so storage methods are necessary. This research aimed to evaluate the effects of different storage methods on the spectral response of Mombasa grass leaves. Three methods were evaluated: (i) artificially refrigerated environment, (ii) humid environment, and (iii)... |

In Brazil, technicians, in most cases, ignore the aspects related to the spatial variability of the soil acidity attributes when liming requirement is calculated. The objective of this study was to validate the liming practice, evaluating the presence of spatial variability of the soil acidity attributes and the existence of areas with differentiated liming requirement, which were calculated by different methods. The experiment was carried out in an area cultivated with corn under conventional management and irrigation. The soil (0-0.2 m) was sampled in a conventional way (composite soil sample) and in a systematic scheme, by use of a grid sampling. In sequence to the soil fertility attributes analysis, it was calculated the liming requirement, according... |

ABSTRACT The combination of multispectral aerial images and computational processing is emerging as one of the solutions used in precision agriculture to observe the nutritional status of plants. The objective of this study is therefore to associate the nitrogen content and dry weight of the aerial part of maize plants (DW) with the vegetation indices obtained by multispectral aerial images (NDVIA and NDREA), and with the SPAD index and the Greenseeker NDVI, in the vegetative stage V6. To this end, randomized blocks in a factorial scheme of 6x4 (six nitrogen doses at the base and four different flight altitudes) were used, with three replications. The collected data was submitted to ANOVA with the F test (p = 0,05) and subsequent regression analysis. The... |
