| Entre janeiro e abril de 2000 foi realizado um experimento no campus da Universidade Federal de Pelotas, RS, com o objetivo de caracterizar a ambiência do abrigo plástico e verificar sua interação com o cultivo de meloeiro (Cucumis melo L.) sob adubação orgânica em comparação à adubação mineral. Foi utilizada uma estufa plástica tipo Túnel Alto, com área de 307,3 m2 e 941,3 m3 de volume, disposta no sentido Norte-Sul e coberta com PEBD de 150^ Foram testados 8 tratamentos à base de vermicomposto bovino, cinza de casca de arroz e adubo mineral, seguindo a recomendação oficial de adubação. | Les arbres fruitiers, les cultures maraîchères et les plantes d'ornement sont atteintes par des maladies causées par des bactéries. Par exemple, malgré la destruction des plantes infectées, le feu bactérien tend à s'installer en Suisse romande et au Tessin. La surveillance des plantes d'ornement est particulièrement nécessaire au contrôle de la situation et permet d'éviter la contamination des vergers et des pépinières jusqu'à présent indemnes. | Different research groups have already proven that flowering plants in orchards can enhance beneficial arthropods. Even within the tree rows different beneficial can be supported by selected plant species. In most experimental work done to stabilize the apple production system only single interaction effects were tested. | Ertragssicherheit spielt im ökologischen Kernobstanbau eine große Rolle. | Different mulches have been studied in organic currant production since 1997 at MTT Ecological Production in S:t Michel. Mulches, especially black plastic, suppressed weeds effectively. Since green mass mulch decomposes fast on the soil surface, it can be recommended mainly as an additional fertilizer. Lepidopterous pests Synanthedon tipuliformis, Euhyponomeutoides albithoracellus and Lampronia capitella are difficult to control even by chemicals. Therefore pheromone-based management was studied in 1999-2003. |

Around 50% of the total Dutch organic fruit production is exported. To be able to facilitate organic fruit growers, Wageningen UR and the Louis Bolk Institute carry out a variety of research aimed specifically at organic fruit production. | De inrichting van kippenuitlopen krijgt steeds meer aandacht. In het project ‘Bomen voor Buitenkippen’ kwam fruitteelt naar voren als een geschikte beplanting voor in de kippenuitloop. Er zijn tot op heden slechts enkele kippenuitlopen waar een pluimveebezetting van 2500 kippen per hectare gecombineerd wordt met een professioneel opgezette fruitaanplant. In potentie lijkt dit een mooie combinatie, maar er is nauwelijks kennis hoe fruitbomen in kippenuitlopen het doen. | Organic agriculture covers app. 6% of the Danish agricultural land. There are app. 200 fruit- and berry growers, totally they grow app. 350 ha, which are 5 percent of the total Danish area grown with fruit and berries. Converting to organic agriculture are national subsidised. At the moment the yearly subsidy is 291 GBP to 49 GBP pr. ha depending on the type of farm. Pear and especially apple production are huge challenges to the Danish growers, as the humid climate favours apple scab and other diseases. It has not been a profitable production up till now. | With the objective to identify the effect of soil cultivation and nitrogen supply in organic production of black currant a field trial was planted autumn 1996 under Unsprayed conditions. The bush rows were cleaned mechanically for weed, and cover crops were established in the alleyways. During establishment all four cover crops gave a sufficient nitrogen supply. The level of nitrogen in soil and the growth were smallest in the annual sown cover crop. Minirhitzotrons were used to follow black currant root growth in total mechanical cleaned plots and plots with sown alleyways. | Ziel ist es, durch die Entwicklung und Prüfung geeigneter Anbausysteme und Kulturmaßnahmen die Pflanzengesundheit, den Ertrag und die Fruchtqualität zu erhöhen bzw. zu verbessern und damit die wirtschaftlichen Erfolgsaussichten des ökologischen Beerenanbaus zu erhöhen. Auf schweren Böden sorgt die Wurzelfäule im Erdbeeranbau regelmäßig durch Pflanzenausfälle für hohe Verluste. Dies ist auf eine Vernässung des Bodens im Frühjahr zurückzuführen. Ein weiteres großes Problem insbesondere im zweijährigen Anbau sind Blattkrankheiten und Fruchtfäule.
