| Urterne er meget forskellige hvad angår konkurrenceevne og foderværdi. Foderværdien er lav i vejbred og bibernelle og høj i kommen. Produktion af afgrødetørstof ændres ikke med urter i græsmarken, men er der en stor andel af især vejbred, vil FE-udbyttet blive mindre. Benyttelsen påvirker konkurrenceevnen. Slæt øger andelen af vejbred og kommen, mens gylletilførsel øger andelen af cikorie. Espersette og kørvel har en meget svag konkurrenceevne. |

| Concentrations of α-tocopherol and β-carotene in forage species at various maturities were studied in Scandinavia. Red clover (RC)/timothy (TI), RC/meadow fescue (MF), and birdsfoot trefoil (BT)/TI mixtures were grown in Skara and Umeå, Sweden. RC/TI,RC/perennial ryegrass (PR), white clover/PR and BT/TI were grown in Foulum, Denmark. Forages in Sweden were cut one week before heading (BH), at heading and one week after heading of TI. The regrowth was cut six and eight weeks after each harvest in the spring growth cycle. In Denmark, one first harvest and three regrowths were taken. Results from Skara and Foulum are presented. | Continuous (CG) and rotational grazing (RG) are important strategies for pasture based organic milk production systems. This study tests both grazing systems on their suitability for permanent grassland areas with drought tendency. The investigation was carried out on an organic dairy farm in Lower Austria on a permanent pasture sward in 2010. Simulated grazed swards were used at an average sward height of 8.5 cm (CG) and 14.8 cm (RG). CG variant was cut 9 times and RG variant 6 times in 2010. Low precipitation periods showed an effect on CG by reducing grass growth. | The project aimed to investigate the management parameters, options and performance of a system of strip intercropping of herbage legumes and organic vegetables in which nitrogen transfer and conservation is effected by a combination of grazing ruminant livestock and crop rotation. | Within the framework of investigations of feed the feeding value of silages from permanent grassland was determined in organic farms with beef production in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Results indicate a mostly delayed use, unfavourable combination of stocks as well as deficiencies in nutrition of plants. In many farms there are technological problems in silage making. | Andelen af hvidkløver i afgræsningsmarker bestemt ved visuel vurdering overvurderer indholdet af hvidkløver i forhold til botanisk bestemmelse baseret på planteprøver som håndsorteres. Forskellen er størst i foråret ved lille afgræsningshøjde. Ved bedømmelser af hvidkløverandelen ved 20 til 50 stikprøver fordelt tilfældigt på større arealer kan den visuelt bestemte kløverandel omregnes til botanisk bestemt indhold ved de udledte ligninger, med en sikkerhed på 2-3%-enheder. |

| The relationship between white clover (Trifolium repens), site conditions, species composition and forage quality has been analysed by conducting a factor analysis (incl. varimax rotation) based on data sets sampled along a 50 m grid on a 20 ha permanent grassland site in Central Germany with heterogeneous site conditions, sown in 1998. | Der Einsatz moderner Pferde gezogener Geräte stellt eine nachhaltige Alternative zum Schleppereinsatz dar, besonders im Ökologischen Landbau. Feldversuche zu den Leistungsdaten eines Vorderwagens in Kombination mit drei verschiedenen Doppelmesser-Mähwerken (Arbeitsbreiten 1,65 m, 1,90 m, 2,40 m) wurden durchgeführt. Bodenantrieb im Vergleich zum Motorantrieb der Zapfwelle führte zu einem mehr als doppelt so hohen Zugkraftbedarf und überstieg die Dauerzugleistungfähigkeit der 850 kg schweren Arbeitspferde. | This article describes three experiments on the control of broad-leaved dock. Experiment 1: Dock seeds were ensiled in grass silages of different dry matter percentages; 23, 34 and 60% respectively. All silages showed a decline of seed vitality in time. Grass clover with dock seeds should be ensiled at a low dry matter percentage or remain in the silage bin for a longer period than 8 weeks. Experiment 2: In a potassium fertilisation trial on grass clover the development of dock was followed. After two years of potassium fertilisation, the number of dock and the root mass was not significant different between the fertilised and the unfertilised plots. | In this paper costs of different production approaches are compared with one another. The figures used are based on findings from the KTBL work programme Calculation Data. Variable costs of 15€ per GJ Net Lactation Energy are achievable on a 20 ha field with very favourable yield levels and using relatively small-scale mechanisation. Further savings are possible by adjusting mechanisation scale to better match the areas being treated. From analysis of the results it became clear that the yield assessments for pasture growth were only seldom applied in practical farming.
