Espécimes de Pristimantis crepitans (Bokermann, 1965) foram obtidos em áreas de afloramentos rochosos situadas na borda sudoeste do Cerrado e na borda oeste do Pantanal, próximo à fronteira entre o Brasil e a Bolívia. Indivíduos foram coletados e gravados na localidade-tipo e em outros quatro municípios, nos estados de Mato Grosso e Mato Grosso do Sul. States for qualitative characters were analyzed using non-parametric tests. Quantitative characters (shell and scute measurements) were standardized for body size by linear regression against carapace length, and were subjected to principal components analysis and canonical discriminant function analysis. Results suggest that increased plastral spotting is a polymorphic ontogenetic trait in P. hilarii. Neither hatchlings nor juveniles have plastral pattern moderately or heavily pigmented. This study compared the arm regeneration frequencies in two different populations of Ophionereis reticulata (Say, 1825) in São Sebastião, Southeast Brazil and observed arm regeneration between age classes (juvenile and adults) and sexes (male and female). From the 1,170 individuals sampled, 1,089 (92.2%) showed signs of arm regeneration. The relative frequencies of regenerating arms in the two areas were not different (Baleeiro Isthmus: 91.3% and Grande Beach: 99.5%). Both areas also presented similar values for the number of arms regenerating/individual and in the frequency of regenerating individuals. O conteúdo estomacal de 60 indivíduos de peixe-rei (Odontesthes bonariensis) provenientes dessas lagoas mostraram que esta espécie tem amplo espectro alimentar. Uma grande variedade de alimentos é consumida, sem afetar o crescimento, pois os peixes dos dois ambientes apresentaram condição corporal semelhante.
