| This paper contains a description of the Lepidoptera, exclusive of the Tortricidae, Tineidae, Orneodidae, and Pterophoridae, of t he Seychelles Archipelago, and of the coral islands of Aldabra, Assumption, Cosmoledo and Astove, though the collections from the three latter islands are too small to be considered representative. The collections from the Seychelles were obtained very largely by Mr Hugh Scott, who spent eight months (July 1905-March 1909) in the group and devoted the whole time to entomological collecting. | The scope of the sub-order Sigmatotetraxonida is here greatly enlarged by the inclusion therein of the Lithistidae and Clavulidae, and the group as now constituted is by far the largest of the tetraxonid sub-orders, being represented in the " Sealark " collection by no less than 126 species. Of this total 57 species are here described as new, 65 are identified with previously known species (in some cases as new varieties ) and 4 are identified generically only. [NOT CONTROLLED OCR] |

| La collection de Némertiens de l'Expédition antarctique française commandée par le Dr Charcot ne comprend pas un grand nombre d'espèces ; mais plusieurs d'entre elles sont représentées par un grand nombre d'échantillons, ce qui permet de se rendre compte de la répartition de ces êtres au point de vue de la composition de la faune. Toutes ces Némertes ont été recueillies sur le rivage, sous le sable, sous les pierres, ou draguées à faible profondeur, dont le maximum est 40 mètres, ou prises à la ligne dans les mêmes localités. Ce sont donc des représentants exclusifs de la faune littorale formant une série bien différente des espèces recueillies par la " Belgica ", qui sont des Némertes de grandes profondeurs et dont le nombre des individus récoltés est... |

| Les Pycnogonides recueillis par la mission du Français, dans les régions antarctiques, proviennent tous des parages de l'île Booth-Wendel ou de l' Ile Wiencke ; la plupart même ont clé capturés à Port-Charcot, c'est-à-dire au lieu qui abrite longtemps le navire dans la première de ces îles. Beaucoup furent trouvés à la côte par mer basse; les autres ont été pris au moyen de la drague sur des fonds qui atteignaient au plus 40 mètres. | Les Annélides et les Géphyriens , recueillis dans les dragages du "Travailleur" et du "Talisman", cumprennent 21 espèces. Ce nombre n'est pas très considérable . Il faut tenir compte, en effet , de la petitesse des individus, qui les laisse passer aisément inaperçus. Pourtant, par l'importance des caractères , par la haute valeur de certaines particularités, en plusieurs cas par la grande quantité des échantillons recueillis , cette collection supplée à un tel défaut. | Ifremer carries out a yearly bottom trawl survey named Channel Ground Fish Survey (CGFS) in order to collect essential biological data on major exploited fish species in the Eastern Channel. These data are also provided to feed the indispensable historic series to the yearly assessment of resources. This report presents results of the CGFS surveys for 1997 and 1998, under two aspects : a multispecific approach of the biological assemblages and integrating an interannual analysis, then a monospecific analysis of 7 species of commercial interest, as whiting, pout, cod, red gurnard, plaice, black bream, red mullet. |
