Evaluation des stocks et aménagement des pêcheries de la ZEE mauritanienne OceanDocs

Le cinquième groupe de travail destiné à l’évaluation des stocks et l’aménagement des pêcheries de la zone économique exclusive mauritanienne s’est réuni à l’Institut Mauritanien de Recherches Océanographiques et des Pêches (IMROP) du 9 au 17 décembre 2002. Les objectifs de ce groupe de travail étaient d’actualiser les résultats des groupes de travail précédents, en utilisant les nouvelles informations disponibles ; d’établir un diagnostic des différents stocks et pêcheries afin de définir les potentiels de capture ainsi que les caractéristiques de l’effort permissible et d’évaluer l’impact des mesures d’aménagement actuellement en vigueur et identifier les perspectives à venir. The composition of the fleet is analyzed. The boats range 50-200 HP of engine and have 9-16 m in length overall. Most of the boats have been improving their equipment (echosounders, new engines) since 1980. An inverse relationship was found between sea surface temperature and CPUE as measured by mackerel catch permit time spent on fishing gounds. Yields are negligible over 20°C with a optimum of 20°C.

Le gouvernement du Sénégal s’est engagé, en élaborant le Plan directeur des pêches en 1998, à mettre en oeuvre « une politique de gestion prudentielle » de la ressource halieutique, conformément au Code de conduite pour une pêche responsable (FAO,1995). D’où l'intérêt d’examiner les contraintes à la conservation et à l’exploitation durable de la ressource et comment lever ces contraintes. To improve the quality of the resource assessment it is necessary to estimate discards and quantify them applying an adequate methodology. The purpose of this work is to detect areas where the activity of the commercial fleet coincides with zones of high concentration of juveniles because they are potential discard areas. To establish possible seasonal and/or interannual variations, length distribution data derived from hake research surveys carried out on board of INIDEP vessels during the 1986-1993 period were analyzed. Estandarización del esfuerzo de pesca ejercido sobre el abadejo (Genypterus blacodes) en aguas Argentinas. Período 1986-1996. OceanDocs

If the fishing effort is properly standardized, the catch per unit of effort may be proportional to biomass (C/f=q x B(med)). A multiplicative factorial model was applied to the ling Genypterus blacodes catch and effort data by the Argentine bottom trawl fleet recorded between 1986 and 1996. The relative fishing power of the fleet strata was estimated and the effort standardized to obtain normalized CPUEs. Provided they were estimated in the same spatial and temporal situation, there were no differences between the normalized CPUE and the nominal CPUE because ling is caught mainly as by-catch in the Argentine hake fishery. A general picture of the spatial and temporal distribution of ling as reflected by the commercial fleet operations was also obtained.

Chub mackerel (Scomber japonicus) landings corresponding to November 2003-January 2004 and November 2004-January 2005 fishing seasons were analyzed at the Mar del Plata port (Argentina, SW Atlantic). Fourty one samples were taken to measure total length exclusively and 4 sub-samples to record individual data (total length, weight, sex, sexual stage, age according to otoliths reading). Total length ranged 20-50 cm (1 and 8 years old). The most abundant sizes, between 32-37 cm, corresponded to ages 3 and 4, respectively. The evolution of argentine landings, characteristics of trawl fleets, principal ports, landings per fleet and management unit (north and south of 41°S), areas and fishing seasons are described. Main results show a continuous increase of argentine hake landings as of 1987. Freezers, that operated in the Patagonian zone along the whole year, was the fleet that most contributed to said increase while the ice chilling fleet maintained its level of landings in the period considered. El Jurel, especie pelágica de la familia Carangidae, se distribuye en el Pacífico Suroriental principalmente a lo largo de las costas de Perú y Chile entre los 01~'35'N a 55~'S (Chirichigno et al., 1982). Durante el período de 1984-1990 las capturas fueron ocasionales, de poca importancia, reportadas generalmente entre los meses de septiembre-octubre y obtenidas en el extremo sur del Golfo de Guayaquil. En 1991, los resultados del sistema de monitoreo de los puertos pesqueros industriales reportó pequeñas capturas del recurso en enero, las que volvieron a ocurrir a partir del mes de mayo, pero en niveles muy superiores. Evolution et activité des principales flottilles industrielles démersales en Mauritanie depuis 1980 OceanDocs

L’évolution (1980-1987) des diverses flottes démersales de chalutiers essentiellement : congélateurs céphalopodiers, glaciers non spécialisés, glaciers spécialisés (merlu – crevettes) est décrite. Les données de débarquement, fragmentaires pour certaines pêcheries et/ou non encore exploitées en détail, concernent les années 1984, 1986 et 1987 pour les glaciers non spécialisés et, uniquement 1987 pour les autres flottilles. A partir de ces informations relatives à l’effort de pêche et aux débarquements, les tendances générales et les résultats de ces flottilles sont analysés.

Las capturas del calamar Illex argentinus en el Uruguay OceanDocs

Los calamares dada su particular abundancia son 105 moluscos marinos de mayor importancia de las aguas uruguayas. Entre éstos, el calamar Illex argentinus es el recurso más importante del área. Si bien la tecnología de captura aplicada no es específica para el recurso, los volúmenes capturados con red de arrastre principalmente para merluza, por las unidades de la Flota Comercial de Altura Uruguaya, indican la existencia de una importante biomasa de estos cefalópodos. Estas consideraciones sumadas al fácil acceso a la zona de explotación y a la duración de la temporada de pesca, favorecen el establecimiento de una pesquería propia del recurso. A partir de 1990 y debido a la drástica reducción en la abundacia de los recursos Sardina (Sardinops sagax) y Macarela (Scomber japonicus) las embarcaciones de la clase 3 también dirigieron su esfuerzo hacia la captura de Pinchagua. Los patrones de las capturas mensuales de los últimos diez años presentan una cierta estacionalidad con mayores capturas entre mayo y agosto. En Afrique de l'Ouest, la zone littorale et ses ressources représentent une composante essentielle pour le développement. Près de 60% de la population est concentrée à moins de 20 km des côtes . Several attributes of populations of sedentary organisms differentiate benthic fisheries from those approached by the classic theory, inspired by fin-fisheries. The assessment and management of sedentary resources require the application of non-conventional methodological tools. Understanding the fishing process, in particular, is central to the analysis and management of those fisheries. La pesquería de especies pelágicas en Ecuador OceanDocs

Entre las principales especies pelágicas costeras que tradicionalmente han sido capturadas por la flota cerquera del Ecuador están: Sardina del sur (Sardinops sagax), Macarela o Morenillo (Scomber japonicus), Pinchagua (Opisthonema spp.), Chuhueco (Cetengraulis mistycetus), Sardina redonda (Etrumeus teres). Las embarcaciones utilizadas son del tipo Purse Seiner. Este artículo muestra un análisis de la tendencia de las capturas obtenidas entre 1982 y 1991, lo que permite apreciar con claridad que posterior al máximo obtenido en 1985, las capturas descendieron significativamente como consecuencia en la reducción en la abundancia de Sardina y Macarela, lo que se explica por los efectos negativos de un intenso esfuerzo pesquero y de condiciones oceanográficas...
