| The document synthesizes the data collected in 2002 and 2003 as part of the Fisheries monitoring system of Ifremer. It updates the description of the status in 2000 of the French fishing fleets operating in the North Sea, Channel and Atlantic (produced in 2002). The document is made of a series of leaflets. The first leaflet provides a global description of the overall population of fishing vessels. Information provided includes vessel and crew characteristics, spatial distribution of fishing activity and catch, and gears used. | In the framework of the future application of a zero-discard policy in EU fisheries, this thesis aims to develop and implement an efficient and integral waste management both on board the fishing vessels and in land (fish auctions and fish processing industry). To this end, it proposes a compaction operation able to reduce the volume and the water activity of the fish wastes, thus favouring their handling and reducing the economical costs associated to their transport and storage. | Depuis une vingtaine d'années, l'Ifremer organise des campagnes de pêche scientifique en mer du Nord, Manche, Atlantique et Méditerranée concernant les ressources pélagiques, démersales et benthiques. L'objectif prioritaire est de produire des indices d'abondance des principales espèces commerciales. Elles recueillent également des données sur les espèces capturées non commerciales. Les campagnes sont réalisées selon des plans d'échantillonnage standardisés. L'engin de pêche et son gréement, la position des stations, le tri des captures, les prélèvements biologiques suivent des protocoles fixés. | The "Bongo" net is an American plankton net whose use is coming into general use for studies of ichthyoplankton. Its dimensions and its power of filtration make it an efficient device for researching groups with unevenly spaced micro distribution as well as rare species, especially fish eggs and larvae. It is recommended by the ICNAF (Standard Techniques for Pelagic Fish Eggs and Larvae Surveys) and will soon be recommended by the FAO. | The technique of otoliths fluoromarking has been used to evaluate at a large scale the practices of brown trout (Salmo trutta L.) stocking (540 000 - 570 000/year, most of them as sac fry) for three cohorts 1994-95-96 in a part of the River Doubs having a length of 40 km and fragmented in three zones (upstream, median, downstream) by three hydroelectric dams. For each of the three cohorts, there is a rather high contribution (23 to 60% according to the zone) of the stocked fry to the automnal 0+ standing population. | Traditionnellement exploitée à la ligne à main et à la nasse par les navires vénézuéliens, la ressource en vivaneaux au large de la Guyane Française (poissons appartenant à la famille des Lutjanidae) subit depuis 1984-85 une exploitation intense par l'accroissement des techniques de pêche classiques et le développement d'une pêcherie au chalut. L'étude fait le point sur les potentialités de cette ressource : biologie, données de l'échantillonnage, bio-statistique (taille et sexes), relation taille poids des 3 espèces, composition spécifique des captures, décrit les engins de pêche et prospection, localise les lieux de pêche, donne une répartition de l'effort de pêche vénézuélien et chalutier martiniquais. |

| Le déclin de la pêche du merlu dans l'Atlantique nord-est alarme tous les pays dont les bateaux fréquentent les régions 2 et 3 du NEAFC. Une connaissance précise des quantités de poissons débarqués et des efforts de pêche dans les différents secteurs devient de plus en plus nécessaire. Nous avons donc été amené à poursuivre, en la développant, l'étude des statistiques du port de La Rochelle. | Au cours de l'année 1966, la pêche du merlu au filet maillant se développe sur les côtes françaises de l'Atlantique. Les premiers mois, ses rendements bien supérieurs à ceux du chalut lui attirent un grand nombre d'artisans dans presque tous les ports du Golfe de Gascogne. Son développement est rapide, mais très vite, les apports diminuent en qualité et en quantité. Ce type de pêche subit alors une désaffection aussi brusque que l'a été son extension. Treize mois après son introduction, cette technique est presque entièrement abandonnée. Nous avons pensé qu'il serait intéressant d'en retracer l'historique, d'étudier la composition de ses captures et l'évolution de ses rendements. |
