GenomicLand is free software intended for prediction and genomic association studies based on the R software. This computational tool has an intuitive interface and supports large genomic databases, without requiring the user to use the command line. GenomicLand is available in English, can be downloaded from the Internet (https://licaeufv.wordpress.com/), and requires the Windows or Linux operating system. The software includes statistical procedures based on mixed models, Bayesian inference, dimensionality reduction and artificial intelligence. Examples of data files that can be processed by GenomicLand are available. The examples are useful to learn about the operation of the modules and statistical procedures.

Statistics is the main science by which researchers validate the results of scientific work, and the choice of an inadequate statistical method may lead to conclusions that are considered questionable by reviewers. This study had the objective of describing the characteristics of the statistical methods used in the papers published in Acta Scientiarum. Agronomy from 1998 to 2016 as part of a a critical analysis of the journal to pinpoint possible failures in the application of these methods. The influence of some process variables on the productivity of the fractions (liquid yield times fraction percent) obtained from SCFE of a Brazilian mineral coal using isopropanol and ethanol as primary solvents is analyzed using statistical techniques. En este trabajo se ensaya la aplicación de un principio integral para la clasificación de sistemas de cultivo minifundistas irrigados por bombeo. Se utiliza como herramienta estadística básica el análisis multivariado, con base en las técnicas de componentes principales, de correlación canónica y de conglomerados. This paper deals about the nematocysts like a source of biometric information for comparison between the species Hydra vulgaris Pallas, 1766, Hydra vulgaris pedunculata Deserti et al., 2011 and Hydra pseudoligactis (Hyman, 1931). This biometric tool lets us carry out statistical comparisons and adding these results to the identification of specimens from different classificatory groups. In this particular study, we obtained significant differences between species, individuals of each species and nematocysts type when compared the biometry of its nematocysts. Another result was the variation in of particular nematocysts, like atrichous isorhiza and holotrichous isorhiza for the species H. vulgaris in relation to the column size.

Neste sentido, foi desenvolvido o programa TAB2x2.ENT utilizando os recursos do módulo CM do SOC - Fevereiro/88, o qual fornece, para dados não pareados dispostos em uma tabela 2x2, as estimativas pontuais do parâmetro razão de produtos cruzados, os limites dos intervalos assintáticos de Cornfield (1956) , Ccx (1958) , Wolf (1954) com correção de continuidade e Gart (1962) , comprimento dos intervalos e, para os métodos assintáticos condicionais, os níveis de significância exatos unicaudais e os coeficientes de confiança exatos.

O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar a análise de agrupamento de dados de expressão gênica, conforme realizada no escopo da ?Rede Genômica Animal?. Na seção 2, são apresentados conceitos básicos sobre análises de agrupamento. Em particular, os algoritmos de agrupamento utilizados nessas análises compreendem aqueles mais conhecidos, como k-means, SOM e agrupamento hierárquico. A plataforma de análise escolhida para realização das análises de agrupamento na ?Rede Genômica Animal? é o ambiente de análise estatística R (R DEVELOPMENT CORE TEAM, 2010) e o projeto Bioconductor (GENTLEMAN et al., 2004). Assim, na seção 3 é apresentado um exemplo completo de análise de agrupamento e seu respectivo script R.
