To this end, FAO has developed an evaluation model called AquaCrop, which covers most technical routes, including fertilization. This work presents a validation of wave parameters from the new sixty years Downscaled Ocean Waves (DOW) reanalysis database. This study compares quantiles of the Gumbel distribution of Hs (significant wave height) and Tp (peak period) from simulated data with an 11 months' time series obtained from a buoy moored seaward on the Santa Catarina coast. Analysis by means of Gumbel distribution quantiles allows more weight to be given to the highest values of the time series, which are especially important in design projects. ABSTRACT A high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection (HPLC-UV) method was validated for the study of bioactive amines in chicken meat. A gradient elution system with an ultraviolet detector was used after extraction with trichloroacetic acid and pre-column derivatization with dansyl chloride. Putrescine, cadaverine, histamine, tyramine, spermidine, and spermine standards were used for the evaluation of the following performance parameters: selectivity, linearity, precision, recovery, limits of detection, limits of quantification and ruggedness. The development and validation of a simple and accurate method based on HPLC with ultraviolet detection for the quantification of zidovudine in rat plasma and its application to a pharmacokinetic study following a single intranasal dose zidovudine is described. Zidovudine was extracted from the plasma using a single-step deproteinization. Chromatographic separation of zidovudine from interfering components was achieved with a C-18 reverse phase column, a mobile phase consisting of a mixture of sodium acetate buffer (55mM) with pH adjusted to 7.0 and acetonitrile (91:9 v/v) and UV detection set at 265 nm. ABSTRACT A simple and sensitive HPLC method was developed and validated for the quantification of haloperidol in solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs). The developed method was used for detection of shelf life of haloperidol in SLNs. Calibration curve of haloperidol was also constructed in rat plasma using loratidine as internal standard. In vivo studies were performed on rats and concentration of haloperidol in brain and blood was measured for the determination of various pharmacokinetic and hence brain targeting parameters. Validation of spectrophotometric method to detect and quantify nitrite in ham pate BJPS

The objective of this work was to validate the spectrophotometric method to detect and quantify nitrite using ham pate as a source. The validated analytical conditions were 540 nm wavelength and the samples reading between 40 to 70 minutes after addition of coloring agents. The tested performance criteria were: linearity, matrix effect, selectivity, detection and quantification limit, accuracy, precision and robustness. As the results have obtained linearity in the studied zone (0.125 to 3 g/mL) and matrix effect was not observed, there was not any interference from ascorbic acid, but interference occurred from sodium eritorbate, in concentrations above 2.5 mg/100g. Abstract In this study, conditions were optimized for development of a simple RP-HPLC method for simultaneous analysis of gatifloxacin and dexamethasone in different matrices like pharmaceuticals, human serum and urine. Good separation of gatifloxacin and dexamethasone from the induced degradation products was accomplished using C8 as stationary phase; 0.02 M phosphate buffer (pH 3.0) and methanol (42:58 v/v) as mobile phase. RP-HPLC method development and validation for estimation of rivaroxaban in pharmaceutical dosage forms BJPS

Rivaroxaban, an anti-clotting medication, acts at a crucial point in the blood-clotting process and stops the formation of blood clots. In this study, RP-HPLC method was developed for the determination of rivaroxaban in tablets (Xarelto® (10 mg)). Phenomenex Luna 5 µm C18 100 Å LC Column (250 x 4.6 mm) was used at 40 ºC. Isocratic elution was performed with ACN:Water (55:45 v/v) mixture. The flow rate was 1.2 mL min-1 and UV detection was at 249 nm. Internal standard (Caffeine) and rivaroxaban were eluted within 2.21 and 3.37 minutes, respectively.
