| The purpose of this work was to evaluate the effect of genotype and sex on the performance characteristics (weight gain, feed conversion and livability) and yields (carcass, breast and legs) of six free-range genotypes: Pesadão Vermelho (GEN1), Carijó (GEN2), Pescoço Pelado 1 (GEN3), Pescoço Pelado 2 (GEN4), Pescoço Pelado 3 (GEN5) and Pescoço Pelado 4 (GEN6). A total of 1584 sexed one day old chicks (792 males and 792 females) were housed in 48 pens, 33 birds per pen. | The essential oil of Marchantia convoluta was obtained by supercritical (carbon dioxide) extraction using methanol as a modifier. Global yields were determined according to the orthogonal design. The effects of different parameters, such as pressure, temperature, modifier volume and extraction time, on the supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) of essential oil from M. convoluta were investigated. Maximum global yields were obtained using the following conditions: extraction temperature, 35ºC; dynamic time, 35 min; pressure, 15 Mpa and modifier volume, 40 mL. | A EMBRAPA, através da UEPAE de Rio Branco, vem desenvolvendo pesquisas objetivando gerar e/ou adaptar tecnologias para o Estado, quanto a criação racional de ovinos deslanados em pastagens cultivadas de Brachiaria humidicola (Quicuio-da-Amazônia), gramínea adaptada ao ecossistema regional. Para esta pesquisa optou-se pela raça Santa Inês que foi desenvolvida no Nordeste do Brasil. Esta raça apresenta grande adaptação e potencial produtivo em diversas regiões do Brasil, podendo se constituir em uma opção de pecuária acessível aos pequenos produtores do Acre. |
