Low-concentrations (0.1-0.3 mg *l-1) of glucose and hydrolyzate are found to render a strong regulating action 15-36.8% on the algae growth and photosynthesis. Depending on the combination of a substrate concentration and light intensity, this action could be both negative and positive. The highest stimulating effect on both of these processes was observed in low light intensity variants (2.6-7.6 thou. lux). Alongside with, this certain species were marked to have second maximum in growth and photosynthesis rates associated with bright illumination (36-45 thou. lux). The response of different phytoplanktonic species to addition of one and the same substance, and the response of the same species to substrates of different chemical nature were different,... |
