羊草の耐塩性が体内の塩濃度に由来するかについて,塩ストレス下においてペレニアルライグラス(耐塩性)およびメドウフェスク(塩感受性)と比較して調べた。羊草地上部のナトリウム(Na)濃度は他の2草種より低く,Naの排出速度は他の2草種よりわずかに高かった。地下部においては,羊草のNa濃度は他の2草種とほぼ同じであったが,Naの吸収および排出速度は他の2草種より極めて低かった。このとき,吸収と排出速度の差は他の2草種より小さかった。以上の結果,羊草の耐塩性は,地下部での塩の低吸収および効率的排出と,これらに起因する地上部での塩の低蓄積によるものと考えられる。 Reduction of plant sodium level as a means of salt tolerance of Chinese wild rye (Aneurolepidium chinense (Trin.) Kitag.) was investigated under salt stressed condition as compared with perennial ryegrass (salt tolerant) and meadow fescue (salt sensitive).
