GENETIC VARIABILITY OF Rottboellia cochinchinensis POPULATIONS IN SUGARCANE FIELDS Planta Daninha
SCHIAVETTO,A.R.; PERECIN,D.; PINTO,L.R.; AZANIA,C.A.M.; ZERA,F.S.; MELLONI,M.N.G..
ABSTRACT The hypothesis assumed was the existence of biotypes within populations, which has been the cause of difficulties in itchgrass control by farmers. For that, the genetic variability of three populations of Rottboellia cochinchinensis in sugarcane fields in the state of São Paulo was investigated by using the Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLP) technique. Six primers were used to obtain molecular characterization data. AFLP gels were analyzed based on marker presence (1) and absence (0). Using NTSYs (Numerical Taxonomy and Multivariate Analysis System) software, the genetic similarity was calculated by the Jaccard coefficient and, from that, a dendrogram was built through the UPGMA (Unweighted Pair Group Method Arithmetic averages) method,...

Sugarcane Seedlings Influenced by the Management with Herbicides Planta Daninha
SILVA,T.P.; AZANIA,C.A.M.; XAVIER,M.A.; PERECIN,D.; VITORINO,R..
ABSTRACT: This research aimed at studying herbicides selectivity on individuals from three sugarcane families after different chemical managements in primary selection fields (F1). On the field, a randomized block design with five replications in a split plot scheme was used. Twelve herbicide treatments were allocated in the plots and the three seedlings families were allocated in the sub-plots. The herbicides treatments were T1- tebuthiuron POST-i + ametryn POST-t; T2- (diuron + hexazinone) POST-i + ametryn POST-t; T3- sulfentrazone POST-i + ametryn POST-t; T4- (diuron + hexazinone) POST-i + metribuzin POST-t; T5- sulfentrazone POST-i + metribuzin POST-t; T6- imazapyr IPP; T7- imazapyr IPP + ametryn POST-t; T8- imazapyr IPP + metribuzin POST-t; T9-...

Weed Interference Periods in Pre-Sprouted Sugarcane Seedlings Planta Daninha
AMARAL,F.C.R.; NEPOMUCENO,M.P.; CHAVES,A.R.C.S.; CARLIN,S.D.; AZANIA,C.A.M..
ABSTRACT: The aim of this research was to determine weed interference periods in sugarcane cultivated under the system of pre-sprouted seedlings, taking into account the impact on the final plant stand, and bud yield and stalk yield. In the field, this study used a randomized block design with 14 treatments and four replications. The treatments consisted of periods of control and weed coexistence with the sugarcane crop (cultivar IACSP95-5000): 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 210 and 240 days after planting. A phytosociological survey was carried out in the experimental area, and the species Merremia aegyptia, Urochloa decumbens and Nicandra physaloides were found to be predominant. At the end of 240 days, regression analysis was performed according to...
