Progonomys Schaub, 1938 and Huerzelerimys gen. nov. (Rodentia) : their evolution in Western Europe Naturalis
Mein, P.; Martín Suárez, E.; Agustí, J..
In this paper the various species and populations attributed to the genus Progonomys Schaub, 1938 are revised. Valerymys Michaux, 1969 is considered to be synonymous with Occitanomys Michaux, 1969, since the type-species V. ellenbergeri (Thaler, 1966) was included in Occitanomys by Aguilar et al. (1986a). Other species from Western Europe that had been included in Valerymys cannot be transferred to Occitanomys. They are the descendants of Progonomys cathalai, for which we create the new genus Huerzelerimys, that includes the known species H. vireti (Schaub, 1938), H. turoliensis (Michaux, 1969) and H. oreopitheci (Engesser, 1989), and the new species H. minor. En este trabajo se aborda una revisión de las distintas poblaciones y especies attribuidas al...

Kislangia gusii sp. nov., a new arvicolid (Rodentia) from the Late Pliocene of Spain Naturalis
Agustí, J.; Galobart, A.; Suárez, E. M..
This paper presents an analysis of the Kislangia-material from the localities of Almenara 1 (= Casablanca 1) and Galera 2 (Guadix-Baza Basin). This revision led to the recognition of a new species, Kislangia gusii, distinguished from the Central European K. rex, to which most of the Spanish populations were referred until now. Two different lineages of Kislangia existed during the late Villanyian in Europe, one leading to K. gusii and the other one leading to K. rex. K. gusii is compared with other samples, from French and Spanish localities.

On the presence of Allophaiomys (Rodentia) in the Granada Basin (Spain) Naturalis
Agustí, J.; Castillo, C.; Freudenthal, M.; Suárez, E.M.; Peña, J.A..
Two sections in continental deposits of the Granada Basin, that had hitherto been described as being of Pliocene age, have yielded teeth of three species of Allophaiomys, which means they should be dated as Early Pleistocene.

Characterisation of the latest Aragonian - Early Vallesian (late Miocene) in the central Ebro Basin (NE Spain) Naturalis
Agustí, J.; Arenas, C.; Cabrera, L.; Pardo, G..
The occurrence of Ramys cf. perezi in the Miocene sequences of the Central Ebro Basin allows to locate the Aragonian-Vallesian transition (Late Miocene) in the alluvial and lacustrine sequences which make up the upper part of the basin sediments in the Sierra Alcubierre. These new data determine the age of the upper genetic unit defined in the central basin sectors, and mark the relationships between the Ebro Basin faunal assemblages and those from other Spanish basins included in the Central Iberian palaeobiogeographic province (e.g. Teruel and Duero Basins).
