Ecological engineering technology in rice to reduce crop losses due to brown planthopper outbreaks was conducted in farmer fields in 2012, at the rice community Huaikamin sub district, Nongkhae district, Saraburi province. These objectives were up scaling areas, a balance of the ecosystem in rice and decrease using chemicals protect to rice insect pests in rice farm, by have the method is flora on the bund and no chemicals protect to pest insect (ecological engineering site ; EE site) control site with the method of the farmer uses chemicals (control site). Three kinds of volcanic ashes, namely clinoptilolite, pumice, and bentonite were tested in the year 2014 for the purpose of Si supply in order to increase brown planthopper resistance in rice. Longevity of adults, the number of nymphs, the number of eggs, percentage of hatching eggs, and survival percentage of 1st instar nymphs to adults were studied. Results from farmer’s trial found that silica in the leaf sheath of volcanic ashes plots were significant higher than control. But this amount of increased silica is not enough to control the brown planthopper population. Silica in the leaf sheath of Pathumthani 1 was significant lower than in RD41 and RD47. Effect of water management to emission methane gas in Lopburi Rice Research Center dry season in 2014. Under Development of Alternative Technologies for Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction and Information System for Decision Support of Policy Maker Project was experimental by Randomized Complete Block (RCB) 3 Replications to compare greenhouse gas emission from 3 Alternative Wet and Dry (AWD) with -10, -15, -20 cm water level and continuous irrigation method. Results showed that Lopburi Rice Research Center was sandy loam soil and AWD irrigation with -10 to -20 cm water level was 27 – 31 % water saving with comparative continuous irrigation method.
