I have lately received for determination some very interesting sawflies collected in Java mostly by Dr. J. van der Vecht. The collection contained eight species not recorded in Forsius' recent list of Javan Sawflies (Forsius 1934), six of these being entirely new species. The types of these new species have been deposited in the Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie, Leiden, Holland; paratypes and duplicate specimens where available have been retained in the British Museum. In addition to these I have added the description of a new species of Anapeptamena given to the British Museum by Dr. C. Ferriére. The additions to the Javan fauna are listed below.
