In 2008 Woodsia ilvensis (L.) R.Br. was recorded for the first time in the Netherlands. The single plant was growing on a 60 years old low brick garden wall in the Doetinchem, Province of Gelderland. The nearest known locality of this small fern species is located in the Harz Mts, Germany, at c. 330 km distance from this Dutch town. |
