A new cirolanid isopod, Cirolana narica, is described from the vestibular diverticulum of the blowhole complex of the dolphin, Cephalorhynchus hectori. The isopod is believed to be a scavenger that entered the blowhole post mortem.

A corallanid isopod in the manca stage (lacking pereopod 7), collected from alluvial gravel along the Batui River in Sulawesi, Indonesia, and identified questionably as Tachaea lacustris Weber, 1892, is illustrated and described in detail. Tachaea lacustris was known previously only from freshwater lakes in Sumatra and Java. Its presence in river alluvial gravel should not be interpreted as possible adaptation to the hyporheic habitat.

Lovenula (Neolovenula) alluaudi is widespread on Lanzarote, where it occurred at 22 of the 105 stations. On Fuerteventura it was found at only 2 of the 53 stations, both in the extreme northwest part of the island. It was also found in a reservoir on the south side of the small island of Alegranza. Samples collected at several hundred stations in the other Canary Islands failed to yield a single calanoid, supporting the belief that the eastern islands are fragments of the African continent that drifted to deeper waters. Males outnumbered females in about 2/3 of the samples, often heavily.

Notodiaptomus caperatus n. sp., from a well in Barbuda, is described and illustrated. It is the first diaptomid from the Lesser Antilles and the first West Indian diaptomid having affinities with South American species.

Cyathura specus, a new cave Isopod from Cuba

During the years 1958-1960, several shipments of specimens collected in the Caguanes Caves of Cuba were sent to the United States National Museum by GILBERTO SILVA TABOADA. Mr. SILVA'S collections included 3 specimens of a blind anthurid isopod, which I determined to be a species of Cyathura, similar to but apparently specifically distinct from C. curassavica Stork (1940) from Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles. I wish to express my thanks to Mr. SILVA for the gift of these unusual troglobitic crustaceans and to Dr. P. WAGENAAR HUMMELINCK for the loan of specimens of C. curassavica for comparison. Having these specimens at my disposal has enabled me to supplement herein STORK'S description and illustrations.

Two calanoid copepods were collected from groundwaters in Spain by the University of Amsterdam Expeditions in 1983—84 and 1985. Copidodiaptomus numidicus was found in southwestern Spain, in provincias Huelva and Sevilla. Mixodiaptomus laciniatus, previously known in Spain only from the Pyrenees, was collected in the Cantabrian Mountains.
