| O presente trabalho teve como tema central detectar alternativas de desenvolvimento para o agronegócio da região Corede Noroeste Colonial, região esta que compreende 32 municípios, e foi desenvolvido no âmbito do edital Procoredes II com apoio financeiro da FAPERGS. A execução do mesmo se deu sobre a base de uma linha teórica, agregando-se pesquisas bibliográficas e de campo entre os agentes econômicos do agronegócio regional. A partir disso, o trabalho conta com cinco etapas. | The present article is about the wheat productive chain in Brazil and focuses on the economic reality of its main connecting links, with emphasis on the links between agricultural and industrial production. Let it be accentuated that the article brings present time accounts of the sector in Brazil, from the result analysis of field research among agricultural producers, producer co-operatives and wheat mills.
