| West of Paraná The use of mulching and shade screens are determinant cultivation practices for maximizing the production and the quality of the strawberries production. Aiming at verifying the quality of the fruits of strawberries, Fragaria ananassa cv. Camarosa short day, under different kinds of mulching and levels of shading, this experiment was conducted at the Experimental Farm of the State University of the West of Paraná (Unioeste), Campus of Marechal Cândido Rondon, Paraná, Brazil. | Given the need to develop extracurricular activities involving teaching, research and extension, the Group PET Agronomy of UNIOESTE held a basic course about BricsCAD ®, thus developing a learning activity to the academic community interested. The software allows the creation of architecture and engineer projects with great quality and is a very useful tool for agronomy, animal science, architecture and engineer, for example. | Generally, the people have an attitude of lack of awareness and sensitivity to the soil, which contributes to their degradation, either by misapplication, whether by its disorganized occupation. The problem around soil conservation in most cases has been neglected by people. The consequence of this neglect is the continued growth of environmental problems related to land degradation, such as erosion, pollution, landslides, siltation of water ways.
