The experiment was conducted in the agricultural year 2010/2011, at São Salvador farm, located in the City of Toledo / PR. The present work was conducted with objective of evaluate the effect of corn-Brachiaria (Brachiaria ruzizienses) intercropping in dry matter production for maintenance of no-tillage system, as well as the physical properties of the soil. The experimental design was randomized blocks. The Treatments consisted of two corn cropping systems: single corn and corn associated with Brachiaria ruziziensis, with ten repetitions. Soil structure is one of the most important attributes for the adaptation of the species and can be evaluated by the density of the soil, macro and micro porosity, aggregate stability, soil strength and permeability, mainly to compare different management systems. In this context, the objective of this study was to evaluate the soil physical properties (macro porosity, micro porosity, total porosity and density) under the effects of dual purpose wheat BRS Tarumã, oat IPR 126, turnip and crambe cultivation, after mechanical and chemical crops management, and after the succession of soybean.
