Última An action spectrum for light-induced hatching of <i>Artemia</i> cysts OMA Van der Linden, A.; Blust, R.; Cuypers, K.; Thoeye, C.; Bernaerts, F.. The influence of light on the hatching induction of <i>Artemia</i> cysts is well known. Our objective was to determine the absorption characteristics of the responsible photoreceptor by action spectroscopy. The results suggest the involvement of a haemopigment located in the gastrula.
