The Demeter-farm “Gut Adolphshof” in Lower Saxony, Germany, is a good example for a conscious process of landscape development on farm level. How did the structure of the landscape change in the past, and which motives and questions for further development are crucial for the farmers today? − Based on the analysis of the landscape development in the past interviews were carried out with stakeholders who are involved in the planning and the present development of the farmland at Gut Adolphshof. During 180 years of cultivation a well structured and diverse cultural landscape has been produced. Todays’ challenge is to preserve and further develop this heritage by involving care farm activities (social therapy). |
