| The experimental study of marine animal nutrition raises a number of technical issues, especially that of food distribution, when it is supplied in the form of pellets with a low water content. Hand feeding has different disadvantages. Farmers have indeed to supply an increasing number (for experimental purposes) of batches, several times per day and at regular intervals, with various types of food of well-defined quantities. Thus, many hours are dedicated each day to feeding. Moreover, the large number of interventions implied influences the fishes' behaviour. |

| One of the criteria for selecting a shrimp of commercial interest in French Polynesia is the acceptability of artificial diet; such a criterion has been used to test Penaeus merguiensis.Experiments have been carried out in Centre Océanologique du Pacifique in Tahiti island where the water temperature range is 25-29°C, salinity 35 ppt, pH. 8.2, and photoperiod constant.Juveniles used in this study are hatched in CNEXO-COP at Vairao.It has been found that a 50-55% protein content diet gives a better growth performance. A carbohydrate such as starch appears more suitable than glucose or glucose plus starch in isonitrogenous purified diets.A vitamin mix rich in vitamin C, choline and inositol provides better results and a mineral mix with 3% magnesium reaches... |

| Le Bar, appelé Loup en Méditerranée, est un poisson téléostéen très apprécié et recherché sur le marché ; sa pêche est relativement peu abondante et l'élevage d'une telle espèce paraît prometteuse. L'acclimatation en bacs et l'adaptation aux conditions d'élevage sont facilement réalisables. D'autre part, la reproduction contrôlée de cet animal peut être considérée comme pratiquement dominée. Il devient donc urgent d'approfondir nos connaissances sur ce poisson, surtout quant à ses besoins nutritifs, pour obtenir une croissance rapide en élevage. |
