Amsterdam Expeditions to the West Indian Islands, Report 51. Harpacticoid copepods from the West Indian Islands: Darcythompsoniidae (Copepoda, Harpacticoida) Naturalis
Fiers, Frank.
The present article in a series on the harpacticoid copepods gathered during the West Indian expeditions of the University of Amsterdam deals with three species of the family Darcythompsoniidae: Darcythompsonia inopinata Smirnov, Leptocaris glaber n. sp., and Leptocaris echinatus n. sp. Through comparison with other specimens from different localities, Darcythompsonia radans Por is considered here a synonym of D. inopinata Smirnov.

Three new Harpacticoid Copepods from the Santa Maria Basin off the Californian Pacific coast (Copepoda, Harpacticoida) Naturalis
Fiers, Frank.
Three new harpacticoid copepods from the Santa Maria Basin off the south-central Californian coast are described: Zosime pacifica n. sp., Cletodes macrura n. sp. Cletodes tuberculatus n. sp. The three species are the most dominant harpacticoids found during a sampling program studying the possible effects of oil and gas developments in this area. The description of the copepodids of each species is included and a key to the species of the genus Cletodus is given.

New hypogean cyclopoid copepods (Crustacea) from the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico Naturalis
Fiers, Frank; Reid, Janet W.; Iliffe, Thomas M.; Suárez-Morales, Eduardo.
Four previously unknown hypogean species of cyclopoid copepods were collected in cenotes and wells of the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico. Diacyclops chakan sp. n. and D. puuc sp. n. differ from their congeners in combining 3-segmented swimming legs, 11-segmented antennules, and legs 1-4 endopodite segment 2 all with 2 setae. Species of Diacyclops rarely occur in tropical regions, and the Diacyclops described here are only the second and third species recorded from Mexico. The benthic D. puuc was found in the large underground reservoir of a cenote. Diacyclops chakan was encountered in such large open subterranean water basins, but more frequently and abundantly in wells. The two Mesocyclops species, M. chaci sp. n. and M. yutsil sp. n., most closely resemble...

Zoogeography of the laophontid genus Afrolaophonte (Copepoda, Harpacticoida), with description of A. stocki n. sp. from Guadeloupe Naturalis
Fiers, Frank.
Afrolaophonte stocki n. sp. from Guadeloupe is described and A. aequatorialis is reported from the southern coast of Papua New Guinea. The pantropical genus Afrolaophonte comprises twelve different species. Based on the chaetotaxy and the segmentation of the P3 and P4, three species groups are defined within the genus. Each group shows a distribution area limited to a certain oceanic basin.
