Water bodies have increasingly got polluted in the last years due to unappropriate management of wastewaters having urban, industrial and agricultural origen, especially in less Developer nations. Development of ecotechnological alternatives through the use of aquatic plants such as Lemna sp. allows making use of natural resources and thus purify high contaminating loads that are produced by cattle raising and agricultural refuses, generating at the same time large amounts of biomass that can be used for animal feeding and irrigation of plantations, avoiding thees the pollution of rivers and seas.
