Selectivity of Iodosulfuron-Methyl Association with ACCase Inhibitors and 2.4-D in Wheat and Barley Crops Planta Daninha
KARPINSKI,R.A.K.; SILVA,A.A.P.; HELVIG,E.O.; MACIEL,C.D.G.; LUSTOSA,S.B.C.; SPADER,V..
ABSTRACT: This research aimed to assess the selectivity of treatments involving the commercial formulations tank mixtures of iodosulfuron-methyl with herbicides ACCase inhibitors (fenoxaprop-p-ethyl and clethodim) and synthetic auxins (2.4-D), applied in post-emergence of wheat (Triticum aestivum) and barley (Hordeum vulgare) crops. Three experiments were conducted in the field, during the 2014 crop year. A randomized complete block design was used with 11 treatments and five replications. Treatments consisted of (g ha-1): 1) iodosulfuron-methyl (6.5), 2) fenoxaprop-p-ethyl (82.5), 3) fenoxaprop-p-ethyl + clethodim (55 + 54); 4) 2.4-D (335), 5, 6 e 7) iodosulfuron-methyl + fenoxaprop-p-ethyl (6.5 + 82.5; 6.5 + 110 and 6.5 + 165), 8) iodosulfuron-methyl +...

Selectivity of Chlorimuron-Ethyl to Castorbean Crops Planta Daninha
MACIEL,C.D.G.; LUSTOSA,S.B.C.; HELVIG,E.O.; COSTA,A.G.F.; RIBEIRO,R.B.; MATIAS,J.P..
ABSTRACT: Castorbean presents high sensitivity to competition; therefore, it is necessary to develop alternatives for the weed management, mainly for the chemical control of eudicotyledons species. The goal of this work was to evaluate the selectivity of chlorimuron-ethyl to castorbean crops in different development stages. Four experiments differentiated by the genetic material were conducted: Lyra, Íris and Savana hybrids and AL Guarany 2002 cultivar. The treatments corresponded to the application conditions of chlorimuron-ethyl [sample control with no application, doses of 15 e 20 g a.i. ha-1 with the formulations Classic™ and Clorimuron Master Nortox™] in two phenological crop stages (4 to 5 and 7 to 8 true leaf stages). The experimental design was in...

Use of Sunflower and Soybean as Bioindicators to Detect Atrazine Residues in Soils Planta Daninha
NOVAIS,J.; MENDES,K.F.; INOUE,M.H.; MACIEL,C.D.G.; HELVIG,E.O.; STANIESKI,C.M..
ABSTRACT: Atrazine is selective for maize, sugarcane and sorghum and may interfere with successor crops such as sunflower and soybean. Despite this problem, there are few studies about the residual effect of this herbicide in these crops. Thus, the objective of the research was to evaluate the residual effect of atrazine through bioavailability of the herbicide in sandy and clayey soils, using soybean and sunflower as bioindicators. The design was completely randomized with four replications and a 2 × 7 + 1 factorial scheme, that is, two doses (2,000 and 2,500 g ha-1), seven application times (0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 days between application (DBA) of herbicide and bioindicator sowing) and one control without application. Dry mass and chlorophyll...

Interference Periods of Weeds in Maize in No-Tillage and Conventional Systems at High Altitudes Planta Daninha
HELVIG,E.O.; PINHEIRO,K.K.G.; DRANCA,A.C.; SILVA,A.A.P.; MENDES,M.C.; MACIEL,C.D.G..
ABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to determine the coexistence periods of weeds (CTWR = critical timing of weed removal) and control (CWFP = critical weed-free period) in maize crops in no-tillage and conventional systems at high altitudes in southern Brazil. To this end, four experiments were conducted in Guarapuava-Paraná during the 2016/2017 crop season using P2530™ (conventional) and P3271H™ (transgenic genetically modified for glyphosate tolerance) hybrids in no-tillage and conventional systems with crop residues of black oat (Avena strigosa). The experimental design was a randomized complete block with five repetitions. The treatments were divided into periods of CTWR and CWFP for 0, 7, 14, 28, 42, 63, and 126 days after the emergence of...

Phytosociological Survey of Weeds in Carpet Grass in Distinct Periods of the Year Planta Daninha
MACIEL,C.D.G.; OLIVEIRA,C.N.M.; SILVA,A.A.P.; KARPINSKI,R.A.K.; HELVIG,E.O.; MATIAS,J.P..
ABSTRACT Lawn with grass classified as Axonopus compressus is very common in Brazil Southern region, where it normally presents an adequate low temperature tolerance and a high diversity of weed infestation. This work has aimed to conduct a phytosociological survey of weeds in lawn consisting of Axonopus compressus from CEDETEG/UNICENTRO University campus located in the Brazilian municipality of Guarapuava, in the state of Paraná, in different periods of 2013. One hundred eighty 0.50 x 0.50 m samples were collected in four months, from which parameters frequency, density, abundance, relative frequency, relative density, relative abundance and importance value index were calculated. In general, 24, 7, 17 and 14 weed species were identified, distributed in...

INTERFERENCE PERIODS AMONG WEEDS AND SOYBEAN RR TM CROPS IN THE WESTERN CENTER AREA OF THE BRAZILIAN STATE OF PARANÁ Planta Daninha
SILVA,A.A.P.; OLIVEIRA NETO,A.M.; GUERRA,N.; HELVIG,E.O.; MACIEL,C.D.G..
ABSTRACT One of the factors that can influence soybeans yield is the interference imposed by weeds. This research has aimed to determine the critical period of weed interference on cv. INT 6100 RRTM soybeans. The experiment was conducted under field conditions at Campo Mourão County, Parana State, in the 2013/2014 harvest, using randomized blocks, arranged in a 2 x 8 factorial, with four replications. In the first factor, the coexistence (period before weed interference) and control (total period of weed interference prevention) periods were assessed. The second factor consisted of management times of weed species (0, 7, 14, 28, 35, 49, 56 and 130 days after emergence - DAE). The evaluations performed were density and shoot dry matter of the weed...
