Een margriet is een margriet is ... Naturalis
Haveman, R..
In the Netherlands, usually only one Leucanthemum species is recognised, L. vulgare Lam. Recent field observations suggest that the Leucanthemum species that occurs abundantly in the Netherlands is the tetraploid species L. ircutianum DC instead. A few Dutch specimens in the herbarium collection of Naturalis in L, however, have been identified as belonging to the 'true' diploid L. vulgare. The latter seems to be rare in the Netherlands, and might be confined to a few relict populations.

Berg, A. van der; Haveman, R.; Hornman, M..
Gampsocleis glabra rediscovered in the Netherlands (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae) Until recently, Gampsocleis glabra was considered to be extinct in the Netherlands since 1987. In 1999, this species was found in large accounts at the military firing range Oldebroek in the province of Gelderland. Gampsocleis glabra seems to prefer open heath (Genisto-Callunetum danthonietosum) and grassland communities (Galia hercynici-Festucetum ovinae) with a low moss abundance. On the Oldebroekse Heide the vegetation is burnt periodically, with a cyclus of 8 years. It is remarkable that on the Lüneburger Heide (Niedersachsen, Germany) the vegetation is burnt on a large scale too. This is the only other site where G. glabra survived in northwestern Europe.

New records of Ephippiger ephippiger in the Netherlands (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae) Ephippiger ephippiger Fiebig, 1784 is one of the most endangered Orthoptera species in The Netherlands. In recent years populations are only known from the central Dutch region Veluwe, heathlands south of the city of Nijmegen and the Brunssummerheide in the province of Limburg. In 1999 several new records from the northern part of the Veluwe became known. The species was found in older parts of the heath where some shrubs and/or large heather plants were present. The management of the heath differs between the sites. At the Oldebroekse Heide one of the largest populations of E. ephippiger in north-western Europe is present, as well as a large population of the extremely...

Revision of Bolboschoenus (Asch.) Palla (Cyperaceae) in the Netherlands Naturalis
Simons, E.L.A.N.; Haveman, R.; Kleyheeg, E..
In the last decades, Van der Meijdenʼs editions of the Heukels’ Flora recognized only a single taxon in the 'Bolboschoenus maritimus group’ for the Netherlands: Bolboschoenus maritimus (L.) Palla, formerly known as Scirpus maritimus L. This is probably because the previously recognized infraspecific taxa were solely based on inflorescence architecture. These characters, however, vary between and within populations, and even within clones or individuals. However, in Central Europe the study of a new character, pericarp morphology, resulted in new insights in the taxonomy of the ‘Bolboschoenus maritimus group’. A species new to science, B. laticarpus Marhold, Hroudová, Ducháček & Zákr., has been reported to occur in the Netherlands as well. In this...
